Bonnie June Rosseland, age 61, departed this earthly world on February 6, 2016, in the Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital in Glasgow. Bonnie spent the last 18 months at the Valley View Home recuperating from both knee replacements and rehab. Her passing was sudden and unexpected.
Bonnie was born on March 20, 1954 in Miles City, Montana to Kristian and Dorothy (Cutting) Rosseland. She was raised on the family ranch near Weldon, Montana. She spent time at the School For Deaf and Blind in Great Falls, Eastmont in Glendive, and sheltered Workshops in Glasgow and Miles City before returning to the family home to live with her parents. For many years she helped take care of her mother and, when Dorothy passed away, Bonnie lived independently at the homestead. Bonnie loved to go next door and visit with her sister, Maureen (Rosseland) Curtiss, every day for coffee. She had a four wheel Kawasaki mule which she took for daily rides, and weather permitting, would go get the mail, check livestock water tanks, and ride “the high road”. She enjoyed raising baby chicks, kept 50 or more California White hens, and sold the extra eggs.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her father Kristian and mother Dorothy. She is survived by a sister, a brother, and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Inurnment will be held on Sunday, May 29th 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Riverview Cemetery in Circle Montana. A celebration of life reception will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Circle Country Market Banquet Room with a full lunch. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Circle is in charge of the arrangements. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting: www.stevensonandsons.com.
