Sunday, April 18, 2010 Boyd passed from this life, surrounded by his family at Broadwater Health Center, from complications of Parkinson's Disease.

Boyd was born August 14, 1917 in Tremonton, Utah to Amos A. and Eva Mae Kinder Iverson. He attended Elwood Utah Elementary School and graduated from Bear River High School in Tremonton, Utah. He was awarded a 4-year scholarship from Union Pacific Railroad to attend Utah State University. He graduated in 1940 with degrees in Animal Husbandry and Agricultural Economics. While attending college he was on both the National Cattle Judging and National Horse Judging teams. He was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity, and a charter member of the Layton Utah Lions Club. Boyd married Marion Frank in 1942 in Tremonton. Later they were sealed together in the Salt Lake City, Utah LDS Temple. In 1952 Boyd and his family moved to Townsend to the ranch where he resided until his death. He was a leader of the Old Baldy 4-H Club for many years and began organizing parades for 4-H livestock and floats in 1954. Then when the Broadwater Fair and Rodeo started he helped organize the 1st parade and continued until the rodeo of 2009.

Boyd had a lifetime love of raising cattle and was one of the first ranchers to introduce Charolais cattle into the state of Montana. He loved riding horses and always had a faithful dog with him. Boyd was in the Broadwater Nursing Home since July 2009. The nurses and other staff loved his sweet smile and quiet sense of humor. He had a great love of dancing. He was a man of few words, commenting You cant learn anything when you are talking.

Boyd was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother Thelma, sister Laverne, and brother Evan.

He is survived by his wife Marion, brother Alan, sister Lois and children B. Max Iverson, Kathleen (Ray) Toombs, Shelly (Lary) Richtmyer, and Liann (Mark) Meyer. Grandchildren Brix, Porsche, Kaj, and Rei, Heidi and Heather, Tiffany, Travis, Tory, and Tim, Clint, and 15 great-grand children.
