Brice Maxwell Kinsey, age 87, of Terry Montana passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Prairie Community Hospital with his daughter and granddaughter by his side.
Brice was born to Bob and Dolly (Ferrel) Kinsey on March 1, 1931 in Fallon County, Montana. He grew up in Baker where he completed the 8th grade. He married Lois Moody on September 18, 1953 at the First Presbyterian Church in Miles City. They lived in Baker, Montana with Lois’s oldest son Jerry for 15 years. While living in Baker, Brice worked as the Water Commissioner and they had 5 more children.
They later moved to Plevna where Brice worked as a rancher for Jim Bickle. In 1976 they moved to Terry where Brice worked as a carpenter an d various different jobs including Farmers Union, farm laborer and he was also employed by the Prairie County Road Department.
Brice loved to hunt, fish and go to the Black Powder events and ride his mule. Brice enjoyed family gatherings with his kids, grandkids and great grandkids. He also loved going to dances with his favorite lady.
Brice is survived by a very special companion of 12 years Winnie Harmel, his children; Jerry (Annette) Johnson of Texas, Mark Kinsey of Glendive, Pam (Rance) Jonas of Terry, James (Darla) Kinsey of Rame, ND., Rocky (Wanda) Kinsey of Scranton, ND., Ruby (Larry) Bearley of Terry, Jackie Bremmer of Miles City. 25 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren, one sister Sybil (Herman) Love of Baker, MT, two brothers; Jack (Sandy) Kinsey of Baker, MT , Matt (Michelle) Kinsey of Great Falls, MT, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, a sister, 3 grandsons, 1 great granddaughter, 2 great grandsons and one step daughter.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home in Terry, MT. Condolences to the family may be sent by visiting www.stevensonandsons.com.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice or to the Range Riders Museum in Miles City.

I had the pleasure of knowing Brice through my son-in-law, Jase who is one of his grandkids. He and Winnie would stop fairly often to see Jase, Jody Jax and triplets Cade, Ian and Milo.
