In Memory Of

Bruce Miller, Age 70, of Colstrip

July 26, 1947 – October 11, 2017

Bruce Edward Miller passed away on October , 11, 2017 at the Medical Center in Colstrip, Montana. Bruce was born July 26, 1947 to Edward Miller and Lucille Norton Miller in Belleville IL and raised in Tilden. Bruce and his first wife, Olga (Yogi) Martin were blessed with two sons, Bruce and Ryan. He later then met the love of his life, Cynthia Watson. They married on December 10, 1991, joining their families with her three children.

Bruce attended  Sparta Public High School, he graduated in 1965. Later he joined the Navy in 1966 and was discharged in 1970. He then started work at the Illinois Power Company in Baldwin as an electrician, in 1982 he moved to Montana and started work in Colstrip at the Montana Power Company in Colstrip, Montana until he retired in 2008. Then he worked as the owner of an apartment complex until the time of his death.

Bruce enjoyed the outdoors. He really enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing and camping. He always looked forward to the pack hunting trips he shared with his buddies, sons and grandson. He was a St. Louis Cardinals fanatic and a former president and a committed member of IBEW Local 1638.  Above all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and supporting them in all of the activities they participated in.

Bruce is survived by his wife Cynthia; his sons Bruce (Jennifer), Ryan (Tasha), Charlie (Laken), his daughters Christa (Billy), and Mindy (Mark); His beloved grandchildren Cameron (Kelsie), Cassie, Brandon, Cherish (Tyler), Cody, Celina, Mya, Rachel, Alicia, Ty, Tamryn, Aubrey; his great-grandson Hunter; his sister Brenda (Larry), his brother Mark, and numerous nephews and nieces.

    All of the Gunnare family was saddened to hear the news on Bruce. We will miss him deeply at the Ranger alumni baseball games. He always made it a point to ask how we were doing, and he was always Ryan’s number one fan 🙂 We are thinking of all of you!
