Byrl Margerie (Jacobson) Lund, age 92, of Scobey, MT passed away Saturday, April 23, 2011 in Scobey.
Byrl was born to Melvin and Mabel (Fossen) Jacobson on March 30, 1919 in the Wasawaka Community outside Wolf Point, MT. She was raised in the Wolf Point area and graduated from Wolf Point high school. On September 7, 1941 Byrl married Gorden Lund in Wolf Point, and they raised one son, Dale. They were married for 58 years until Gordens passing on January 31, 1999. She was employed as a domestic engineer and was active in the Lutheran Church. Byrl was a member of the Montana Cowbells, 4-H, Elk Lady Herefold Beef Association, and the American Quarter horse Association. She enjoyed raising horses, bowling and tending to her garden.
Byrl is survived by her son, Dale Lund of Kalispell, MT; granddaughter, Brooke Lund of Los Angeles, CA; and grandson, Jason Lund of Birmingham, AL.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gorden Lund; and parents, Melvin and Mabel Jacobson.
Byrls funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 7, with visitation one hour before at the First Lutheran Church in Wolf Point. Interment will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery in Wolf Point.Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point has been entrusted with the arrangements.
