In Memory Of

Calvin Brady Jr., age 40, of Portland Oregon formerly of Lame Deer

September 3, 1981 – August 16, 2022

Calvin “RC” Bruce Brady Jr., 41, of Busby MT returned home to heaven August 16, 2022. He passed away from natural causes. Mokesa’e “Calf” was born on September 3, 1981 to Calvin Brady Sr. and the late Marie Bigback Brady.

Calvin’s “RC” earlier years he enjoyed martial arts which he became very good at, he was 13 years old and won State in Kamiah Idaho. RC enjoyed fishing, karate, hunting, basketball, football, cooking and spending time and helping our dad and others who needed his help.  RC had a very big heart and always putting others before his own.  In his later years Calvin “RC” joined the Dog Soldier Society need by his dad, Calvin Brady Sr.  He was proud of his Native American heritage having Indian blood from the Northern Cheyenne, Sioux, Kiowa and Apache Nations.  He was a direct descendent of Geronimo, an Apache War Chief, Risingsun a warrior who fought Custer and Red Sleeve Panther a warrior who fought at Sand Creek.

Calvin “RC” attended high school at Lame Deer and graduated from Northern Cheyenne Tribal Schools. RC loved his family very much and had a very close connection with his siblings, nieces and nephews.  He loved spending time and doing things with his nieces and nephews, watching them play xbox or just when they were around him watching him cook. He loved the laughter of his family when we were all together.  RC was always assisting our dad and helping him out with ceremonial ways.  RC lived a good and happy life and will be greatly missed.  Growing up he had a lot of friends where ever he went.  We cannot say enough about the beautiful life of our son, brother, uncle.  He was kind and generous.  He would always find ways to help those around him. It is not good bye, we will see him again someday until then we will remember him everyday and carry him in our hearts.  He is now one of the angels that will watch over us.
