Carl Fahrenbruck age 88 passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025. Born on June 22, 1937, in Forsyth, Montana, Carl was the beloved son of Henry and Sophia Fahrenbruck. He spent his early years in the beautiful Hammond and Howard Valley, where he raised cattle, farmed, and developed the love for the outdoors and a strong work ethic that would carry him throughout his life.
Carl married Linda Fah, on October 21,1957. Together, they raised five children, Carla, Tim, Ron, Christina, and Vicky. He later married Jean Kiel in 1987.
In 1979, Carl began working at Montana Power in Colstrip, where he remained until his retirement in 1993.
Outside of work, Carl had a passion for rodeo, particularly bull riding, he also liked hunting and Quigley shooting events.
Carl enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He could often be found riding ATVs with them and sharing life stories and creating lasting memories.
In addition to his children and grandchildren, Carl is survived by his brother David, and a large extended family, including many great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean, and other loved ones who passed before him.
A celebration of Carl’s life will be held at Stevenson’s Funeral home Forsyth on Wednesday, August 20 at 11 AM with viewing from 9 AM to 11 AM. Burial will follow with full military honors. Reception afterwards at Stevenson’s Funeral Home.
