Carl Anton Dilger, age 84, of Fergus Falls, MN formerly of Miles City passed away on Monday, March 30, 201507 in Fergus Falls.
Carl was born in Miles City, Montana on July 10, 1929 to Carl and Grace (Monson) Dilger. He grew up on a farm near Ashland, Mt, and when his father died, they sold out and moved to Miles City, where he graduated from CCHS in 1949. In 1950 he married Betty Ann Rooney, a long and happy marriage of 65 years. Together they made a careful study of the Bible, and became baptized Witnesses of Jehovah in 1957, and enjoyed many years of teaching others about the Bible. Carl served as an elder in both Miles City and Fergus Falls, MN until his death. He built the Green Star Trailer Village in Miles City and operated it for 20 years, after selling it he owned and operated Pioneer Carpet Cleaners until selling out to his son-in law in 1994. He appreciated anything mechanical, and loved fixing things, as well as traveling; especially the yearly conventions of Jehovah’s Witnesses, so the family visited many cities from coast to coast.; including New York City, Los Angeles, Miami, Spokane and Portland, as well as many in Montana and the Midwest.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Ann, 3 daughters, Emmy Gullickson, (Robert); Becky Green, (Melvin) both of Fergus Falls, MN and Rachel Dilger of Miami, FL; 3 sons Grant Dilger, Seattle, WA; John Dilger, (Jocelyn), Scotland Neck, NC; and Daniel Dilger, Berkley, CA; 1 sister Elise Hansen, a niece Peggi Sprankle and family, all of Seattle, WA; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandsons.
Services will be held on Friday, April 11, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Parlor, 1806 Main in Miles City. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Miles City is in charge of the arrangements. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting: www.stevensonandsons.com.
