My uncle was a kind, godly man. One of my favorite memories is from a summertime visit I had with the family. Uncle Carl had given me his organ which he could no longer play and after enjoying it so much I wanted to share some songs with him on my visit. We searched out a place where I might be able to do this and ended up at the Presbyterian Church. It was here that my Mother, Aunt Fern, cousin Brian and Uncle Carl spent some time one evening. Uncle Carl would shout out hymn numbers of songs he wanted to sing. I would play them and the family would sing. I could hear him lifting his voice in worship! It was a
wonderful time. Peace to you Uncle Carl. Love, Karen

My husband (Frank Johnson) worked with Carl for the city of Forsyth. Carl was the epitomy of what a true gentleman should be. Always kind, soft spoken and gentle. I adored him and will always treasure having known him. A wonderful man! Carl, may your family find peace in your wonderful memory.
