Carl Fourstar Sr.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 23, 2009 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Wolf Point

Interment: St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Oswego, MT

Carl Edwin Fourstar, Sr., age 72, of Wolf Point, MT passed away January 17, 2009 at the University of Colorado Hospital in Denver.

Carl was born April 27, 1936 to Jerome and Mabel (Redstone) Fourstar inPoplar, MT. He attended schools in Frazer and graduated in 1954. Soon after, he joined the Air Force spending two tours in Viet Nam. Carl served his country for twenty years in the armed forces. Carl met the love of his life, Darlene Elise Parisien, and they were soul mates for approximately 32 years. They have lived in Wolf Point all this time.Carl was employed by the Bendix Corporation and the Fort Peck Tribes. He owned his own seismograph company, Aerostar. Carl chaired many organizations and enjoyed farming throughout.

Carl served the Creator every day with the sacraments that were given to him by the grandfathers. He was also a member of the Assiniboine Pipe Carriers and was baptized in the Catholic Church. The thing that Carl loved was traveling and spending time with his family.

Carl was preceded in death by his mother and father, Mabel and Jerome; sister, Adria Fourstar; brother, Adrian Fourstar, Sr.; daughter, Carla Jean Fourstar; and grandson, Christopher Hodge.He is survived by his wife, Darlene, of Wolf Point; daughter, Stephanie (Charles) Knowlton of North Poplar, MT; daughter, Cheri (Mark) Conroy of Billings, MT; daughter Cheryl (Ron) Gaines of Lewiston, ID; son, Carl Fourstar, Jr. of Wolf Point; son, Steven (Nicole) Fourstar of Billings; daughter, Adrienne (Darin) Weinberger of Wolf Point; daughter, Randi Hodge (Mike Adams) of Billings; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Patricia (Herman) Pipe of Poplar; Josephine (Edison) Tapaha of Wolf Point; Jeraldine (Warren) Buck Elk of Rapid City, SD; and Madonna (Virgil) McConnell of Wolf Point.

A Vigil will begin, 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 22, 2009 at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. Mass of Christian Burial is10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 23, 2009 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Wolf Point with interment following at St. Josephs Catholic Cemetery in Oswego, MT. A luncheon will follow burial at the Oswego Community Hall.
