Carmen Lee Hill, age 75 of Forsyth passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2003 at the Rosebud Health Care Center in Forsyth.
Carmen was born the son of Harry and Edith M. (Wilson) Hill on January 16, 1928 in Marissa, IL. He grew up in the Marissa area until moving with his family to Rock Springs, WY. Following his education in Rock Springs, Carmen began his working career in the oil fields near Rock Springs. Following his time in the oil fields, Carmen moved to Longview, WA where he was employed at the Weyerhaeuser Pulp and Plywood Department until 1961. While in Longview, Carmen was united in marriage to Joan L. Berry on June 4, 1950. To this union, six children were born. After leaving Washington, the family, their home in Sidney, MT where Carmen worked at the sugar beet factory until 1965. Carmen later worked as a painter during the summer and for Yellowstone Molasses in the winter. In 1979, he was employed by Montana Power Company and continued working there until his retirement in 1993. Carmen took pride in his work, was dependable and very conscience about the things he did. He enjoyed talking to people about the Bible and going out in the ministry. Carmen has served as a faithful witness of Jehovah since his baptism in 1952.
Carmen is survived by his wife of 53 years Joan, his daughter Carma Wilson of Michigan, three sons Kevin, Nate, and Stephen all of Montana, five grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, one brother Ted Hill, one sister Virginia Thornton, as well as several nieces and nephews in the United States and Australia. He was preceded in death by his parents, two children, Vern and Annette, eight brothers Allen, Ray, Bill, Chris, Wilbur, Norman, Wayne, and Lloyd and one sister Elizabeth.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2003 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Forsyth. Burial will be held at a later date.
