On Wednesday October 9th, 2019, Carol Marie Grover, loving mother of 2, grandmother of 3, sister of 8, and friend of many passed away at the age of 75.
Carol was born on June 8th, 1944 in Murray Utah to Lorin and LaVern Jenkins (Davis). She went to Jordan High School in Sandy, Utah and attended the LDS Business College before marrying Gene Grover and moving to Townsend Montana. She raised two children, David and Tara, before moving to Colstrip, MT in 1979.
Carol was one of the kindest people to ever live, her laugh was contagious, and her smile always lit up a room. Carol loved her years as a pre-school teacher, school bus driver and lunch lady at Colstrip High School, she truly loved being around the energy that comes from youth. She loved her kids and made trips several times a year to visit them regardless of what part of the country their lives took them to. In the last couple of years, she was able to knock Hawaii and Alaska off her list, thereby completing her goal of seeing all 50 states. She loved her grandsons and was there within a day of their births and attended their graduations from High School. She loved to go down to Lake Cachuma with her sister and spend July with Tara and Holly enjoying the wilderness from the comfort of a tent every year. Carol loved her crafts and her kids have at least two trees worth of Christmas decorations to prove it. She was passionate about her faith and dedicated all of her life to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, genealogy, custodian, primary teacher, relief society, and her love of continuing the work in the temple.
Carol is survived by her family, her son David and Sofia (Krneta) Grover, their sons Michael, Nicholas, and Alexander Krneta, her daughter Tara Grover and Holly Carilo. Her brothers and sisters Lorin and Patricia Jenkins, Dan & Carla Jenkins, Gene and Lucy Jenkins, Ruth and Gary Anderson, Kathy and Clark Ence. Countless nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Lorin and LaVern Jenkins, her sister Judy, and brothers Ronald and Jack.
A visitation and service will be held on Tuesday October 15th, at 3:00pm at the LDS church located at 115 Cherry Street, Colstrip, MT.
Another Service will be held in Midvale, UT Friday October 18th, time and location will be forthcoming before being laid to rest at Midvale City Cemetery, Midvale, UT.

Tara and David, I was so sorry to hear of your mother’s death. She was very proud of both of you and spoke of you often when I worked with her. Carol was always upbeat even at times when things weren’t going so great in her life. The morning of her surgery she posted on facebook wishing everyone a good morning and to have a good day. She was also very thoughtful and would often bring me treats or small gifts when I worked in the transportation office. I still have many Christmas ornaments that she made and gave to me over the years. My sympathy to you both and to your families.

My deepest sympathies and condolences to carol’s family. I had the privilege of serving with her in the temple for the last couple years. I don’t think that I ever saw her without a smile on her face. She truly loved her Savior Jesus Christ and I can only imagine that she is at peace in His presence.

David, Tara and families. Our hearts go out to you! Having your mom go before you is so, so hard! You truly had an amazing, kind, service oriented mother. So grateful to have been able to know her for so many years in Colstrip. She was Aisling’s nursery teacher at primary. We loved her, she made it so easy for Aisling to eagerly leave us, cuz she knew she was going to spend time with Carol. Carol didn’t just babysit in nursery, she taught, she sang and she loved! She was my visiting teacher for a couple of years and I was hers for a couple of years, what fun memories I have of those times. She and Kathy stayed the night with us here in Nauvoo a couple of summers ago. What a delight!
You are in our prayers.

David and Tara, I loved your mother dearly! I was able to work with her in the temple, and always appreciated her warm smile and loving nature. She kept me updated about each of you, and was so proud of you and her grandchildren. When she traveled to North Carolina this past year, he made a special effort to take my daughter, Lizzy, and her missionary companion out to lunch. She was a great example to me in so many ways. I will miss her!

David, Tara, and family-Our sincere condolences go out to all of you. Carol was always a happy, smiling fun person to be around. After I closed Culvers I worked at the school for a while and Carol was one of my mentors as a bus driver. Carol was always caring and kind to everyone, but still managed to keep an entire bus full of kids safe and in line, while making each one feel special. Carol was a living example of kindness and caring for all. Both Twila and I have very fond memories of Carol as a wonderful person and an example of kindness and caring for others. I am confident there is a lot of her former bus kids that remember how special she was. Carol made a great impact on kids lives by example, and most probably didn’t realize how fortunate they were to have her in their lives. Thank you Carol for all you did for so many, and thank you to Carol’s family for sharing her love and life with us. Ray and Twila Loveridge

Loved my aunt carol and can hardly believe she’s now with Grandma and Grandpa. I will never forget her coming for a visit with My mom Ruth and stay in a tent in my back yard. I was like are you sure you two want to stay out here. Both my mom Ruth and Aunt Carol were like two little girls just happy to be camping. Carol would just say, “Don’t get old cuz it stinks” as she was putting up her tent and a little out of breath. All the while I was thinking Aunt Carol I’m impressed with how much GO you & mom’s got sleeping out here in tents. I am so glad I got that two weeks with Aunt Carol visiting. Love and miss you Aunt Carol. ❤️ David and Tara my love goes out to you. Contact me sometime sure do miss you both. Shellie

My loving thoughts and prayer David and Tara and Family.
Through the years since you were babies your sweet mama and I remained friends and that is so rare today in
This world.
My love for her was as a sister and we worked together at
The Mint Cafe, went out to ranches and poison gophers, almost got snake bite, went visiting teaching together, worked at the church together.
I could never say enough of how much I loved Carol.
She is in the Celestial kingdom today walking the street of gold with her Heavenly Father. I’m so happy for her and she will be beside you each day.
