Carol Arsenault Jessen went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 22, 2017, after an eight-month battle with cancer. Born to Patrick and Remegia Arsenault of Ishpeming, Michigan, on July 23, 1951. Carol graduated from Ishpeming High School in 1969 and earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Northern Michigan University in 1976. On May 31, 1981, she married Douglas Jessen and loved him dearly for thirty-six years. In 1983 and 1985 God blessed her with two sons: Sorn and Joel. Carol loved all God’s people and she especially enjoyed working with children. Throughout the years Carol taught Head Start, Kindergarten, First, and Second Grade. She also worked with special-needs children and as a substitute teacher. The communities of Busby, Lame Deer, Crow Agency, and Hardin mourn her loss. Carol will be remembered for her faith in Christ, which sustained her throughout her life. Her tender heart loved much, prayed always, and often interceded for others. Carol’s parents Patrick and Remegia Arsenault preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband Douglas; sons Sorn and Joel (Rebecca); three grandchildren: Maia, Luke, and Ben; siblings Patricia (Paul) Polkinghorne and Paul (Robyn) Arsenault.

Dear Doug and Family and Friends; My deepest condolences to each of you. We have lost a dear, gentle lady whose devotion to Christ has been a model for all Christian peoples everywhere. While we feel the sting of death so frequently here on this reservation, we know she is no longer in pain and it is an assured thing that she rejoices in her new heavenly home. All of us who call her friend will miss her fellowship here on Earth, but we only sorrow for our own loss. Let us look up and rejoice for her.

Please accept my condolences, Doug and to all who she touched – family, friends, and church and probably more that I do not know. I know I sure enjoyed being with her at the ministerial mtgs. She is now with her Savior – the living source of happiness and many others who have gone before her.
Sincerely, Pam Kania

We are so blessed to have met Carol on this journey, and to have worked under her. She had such a passion for Christ and to share His love with all who came in contact with her, such an aroma of Jesus. She was full of kindness and always quick to serve and pray for you if you needed it. I feel she was not just our Pastors wife, she is and always will be part of our family. She was a beautiful person inside and out. She will be surely missed, but it is comforting knowing that she is with the Father and that she is whole and no longer in pain or discomfort. I know she is dancing in the throne room before the Lord. I Love you Carol, we are very appreciative for all that you have done. You’ve blessed each of us deeply. Continued prayers for Doug and family. We love you guys. <3. Need anything you know where to find us.

Mr. Carslon NCTS Busby MT says
You are of noble character. You have been empowered to serve. You are acceptable and extraordinary. You are infused with a resurrected nature. You hold miraculous power. You are immersed in the newness of life. Liberation and freedom are at your side. Your bringing heaven’s provision to earth. You are alive and well. The kingdom is within you. Advance the kingdom! Be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit.
Doug, you possess the power to advance the kingdom in the hearts and lives of others. You live not a life of eating and drinking, but of the righteousness, peace, and joy of God. Your inward establishemnt effects the life outwardly. Such a great price was paid for us to not only be forgiven and delivered but also to be re-created in the image of Jesus Christ.
You are established in faith. You have the power to walk in holiness. You have the power to bring heaven’s will to earth to meet the needs of humankind. You are of royal priesthood.
Go forward relentlessly and bring heaven to earth -in our own life and in the world of our influence.
“The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord.” Proverbes 20:27

My thoughts and prayers to Doug and Carol’s family during these trying times. I first met Carol when I started working here at Lame Deer Public School back in 2015. It was as if I had always known Carol, she was friendly, open, honest and gentle. She was a big influence on me when my sister passed away, she was right there with the family to comfort and to pray. I will definitely miss her and I know our staff here at Lame Deer School will miss her as well.

Carol was an “Angel on earth”. Her gentle manners, calm strength and complete devotion to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ was admirable! Something to aspire to! Every time we visited, the sweet assurance of God’s anointing was present. She will be missed, but as saints of God we know, that one fine day we’ll all rejoice together in our great Heavenly home! Carol is now holding hands with Jesus and hearing him say, “Well done, thv good and faithful servant”. May God comfort Doug, her sons, families and friends.

Oh Carol, I am going to miss our visits we had when we worked together at Head Start. They were never 5 to 10 minute visits. The visits were
always 15 t 20 minutes. Especially, the long visit we had on the Head Start bus to and from Billings when we rode the bus to eat together at the
end of the year dinner. We visited all the way up and all the way back! You are a true woman of God. Prayers for Doug, your children and your
grandchildren.
