Carol Lee Syring passed away on January 20, 2022 at the age of 81 in Miles City, Montana.
Carol was born in Ridgeway, Colorado on December 24, 1940, to Fred and Vernice Martin.
She met the love of her life, Howard Syring, in Redding, California in 1958, married in 1959, becoming a Navy wife. After Howard’s discharge from the Navy, they spent time in Howard’s hometown, Sidney, Montana. In 1962 they moved to Miles City and built their family, raising three sons, careers, and lives.
Carol babysat for many, many years. She also started her own business, Holiday House Crafts, which she continued to make work for 14 years. Here passions were her family, friends, gardening, and doing crafts. Chances are if you are reading this, you, your wife, mother, aunt, sister, or friend sat around Carol’s table, crafting, playing cards, or other games, drinking coffee, and laughing out loud.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents Fred and Vernice, sisters Lela, Dixie, Judy, and Patricia, brother Fred, son Melvin, and many cherished friends.
She is survived by her husband of 62+ years, Howard, sons Jim (Kristen) and Jon (Lina), 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 1 brother Dwayne Martin and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please, make donations to a charity of your choice in Carol’s name.
