Carol Wash, age 68, of Broadus, MT, passed away at the Powder River Manor in Broadus on July 22, 2003.
Carol was born on January 2, 1935 in Sheridan Wyoming, the daughter of Harold and Anne (Thex) Bull. She attended grade schools on Otter Creek and graduated from Powder River High School in Broadus. She went on to Eastern Montana College in Billings and started teaching with an emergency certificate at the Sonnette School. She married Glenn Wash on July 11, 1959 in Broadus, MT and moved to Deadwood, SD. In 1960, they moved to Sheridan and in 1961, moved to the E.T. Ranch. In 1965 they bought the Ranch on Otter Creek and Carol taught at St. Labre in Ashland. In 1998, Carol into the Power River Manor due to ill health. Carol loved being on the ranch. She liked to read and was a dedicated teacher that passed that passion of reading on to all of her students. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed making clothes for her family. She loved to dance. Most of all, Carol loved her family and grandchildren.
Carol is survived by her husband Glenn of Broadus, MT, her son Jeff Wash of Broadus, MT, her daughter Michelle and her husband Mike Carmella of Walker Lake, NV, her brother Gary Bull and his wife Carolyn of Ashland, MT and two grandchildren; Orrin Charley and Sara Parker.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 24, 2003 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the chapel of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Broadus. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 25, 2003 at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church in Broadus. Internment will follow in the Valley View Cemetery in Broadus. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Powder River Manor or to the charity of one's choice.
