Mass of Christian Burial: Will be Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Billings, MT.
Carole S. Boone, 72 , passed away Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Friendship Villa in Miles City. Carole was born July 3, 1938, in Meridian, ID to Gerald and Lucille McFarland.
Carole spent her early years on the family dairy farm in Nampa, ID. During high school, the family moved to Salem, OR where she graduated. Carole graduated from Oregon State University with a degree in Elementary Education. She taught third grade for several years before she moved to San Francisco and met her one and only. On September 28, 1963, she married the love of her life, Stan Boone, in San Francisco, CA. They moved to Darby, Montana in 1971 with their three young children, Mark, Susannah and John Daniel. In 1989, they moved to the VX ranch in Ingomar, MT. She lived a life filled with a deep faith in God and an incredible love for her family. She was a devoted mother and beloved wife, spending her days making people smile and spoiling the animals. She will be sorely missed.
She is survived by her husband, Stan Boone; three children, Mark (Tina) Boone of Ingomar and Billings, Susannah Michaelson of Miles City, Commander John D. (Heather) Boone of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren, Cameron, Treve, Ryne, Tye, Emma, Sandra, Sally, John-Mark, Nicholas and Matthew; two sisters Dianne (Audie) Bromley of Darby, Judy Little of Wood Linn, OR; and one brother Steve (Sally) McFarland of Gresham, OR.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, January 8, at St. Bernards Catholic Church in Billings. A reception will follow.
