Funeral service: 12:30 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. A reception will be held immediately following the church service.
Burial and dedication of the grave: will be at 4 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Helena.
Carolyn Ann Sangray returned to her heavenly Father on April 8, 2010 at her home in Townsend, surrounded by her loving family.
Carolyn was born on November 22, 1945 to Sam and Molly Smith in Abbeyville, SC. She graduated from Helena High School in 1963 and attended Ricks College for a year.She married the love of her life Jack L. Sangray on July 3, 1964. They lived in Helena where they had their own construction business and were blessed with their first three daughters. From Helena they moved to Cardwell and ranched for twelve years and were blessed with three more children. To supplement the ranch, Jack drove semis and poured concrete while Carolyn was the ranch foreman. Lifes journey took the family to Deer Lodge where they were blessed with one more child. Jack and Carolyn worked side by side selling Farmers Insurance. They finally settled down in Townsend to watch over both their parents.
Jack and Carolyn spent many summers in Alaska fishing. Her greatest joy and accomplishment was her family. She was blessed with seven children and twenty-one grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Jack and her children, Laurie (Rob) Merrick of Bountiful, UT, Lisa (Craig) Turk of Whitehall, Jackie (Ed) Simon of Whitehall, JeNece (Gary) Williams of Dillon, Travis (Kristi) Sangray of Townsend, Stacie (Chris) Williams of Moorcroft, WY, Josh (Misty) Sangray of Townsend, brothers, Dave (Carol) Smith of Ronan, Tony (Carol) Smith of Helena and 21 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will begin receiving friends at 11:30 a.m., Monday, April 12 in the Relief Society room in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 916 Broadway St. in Townsend. A funeral service is scheduled at 12:30 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. A reception will be held immediately following the church service. Burial and dedication of the grave will be at 4 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Helena.
