Carrol was not just a great cowboy, rancher, and steward of the earth and it’s flora and fauna, he was just flat out lovable. And he made every one around him feel loved as well. His spirit will live on through every one he met, and I thank the good Lord I am one of them. Will try to pass it on, Carrol, but doubt I will do it with your clever touch. Rope with the angels, and hope the roping arena up there fits the bill.

Schaffer family, I am so saddened by the passing of Carroll. He was a special guy with a quick wit and a ready smile. I would like to have a nickle for every hour he spent teaching youngsters about the fine art of riding or cutting or roping or having a good time. I do know that we are richer for having known him and he will be irreplacable in our community. RIP Cowboy. My deepest sympathy to the family.
