I am so sorry that I can’t be home right now for you and for Beccy. Please know we are grieving with you and praying for you in Missouri. I have so many great memories with Celeste and Bec….how they put up with me, I’ll never know! But when I moved to Kansas City 22 years ago, Celeste was there to show me around and take me to dinner. She also made it clear that if I needed anything she’d be there. Heidi and Shane were also so gracious to me. Later, Celeste stayed with me for a week and we had some fun times. I know she’s in a better place, and we miss her now, but we will see her again. May the Lord be with you every step of the way.

Jesus Whispers
Let me come in where you are weeping, friends
And let me take your hand.
I, who have known a sorrow such as yours,
Can understand.
Let me come in-I would be very still beside you in your grief;
I would not bid you cease your weeping, friend,
Tears bring relief.
Let me come in-I would only breath a prayer,
And hold your hand,
For I have known a sorrow such as yours,
And Understand.

God bless Celeste family and friends with amazing memories of the time they shared on earth and grant them peace and comfort in knowing she is home with JESUS CHRIST. I remember all the 4-H stuff we did, with my mom, Bebe helping Celeste with sewing projects. Celeste was good at everything she did in 4-H. As children we were blessed to have ranching families that gave us a Godly up bring and values! Giving and caring for others in our life here on earth and sharing the love of CHRIST with others!
Just a few years back I was blessed to visit with Celeste at Home Depot, she shared her story of her life with me and it was amazing to hear how she love the Lord and all she did in her short life. Give JESUS a hug from us still here!
Love,Peace and Joy be yours my friend,
Carolyn and Family

As a very young school girl I remember when my friends Andy and Helen had their first child; a girl named Celeste. I thought it was such a beautiful name and I was so excited when i got to meet her only a few weeks later. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, rest in peace. + + + Requiem In Paradisum + + +

We were so shocked to hear about Celeste. I had kind of lost track of her for awhile, and am so sorry this happened. We really enjoyed her upbeat and kind ways. She seemed to always have a positive attitude. She was such a joy to have around when she stayed with us for a time during high school. We all look forward to seeing her again in Paradise. May all her family & close friends cherish the memories.
J Johnson says
My sincere condolences to the family of Celeste Shelane Gerleman – May you find comfort in your loving memories, beautiful pictures and in recalling the many talents of Ms. Gerleman. It was not the Creator’s purpose that mankind suffer and die (Romans 5:12). God has promised that a time will come when no one will say “I am sick” (Isaiah 33:24). In the Bible we are promised the resurrection of dear family members and friends that we have lost (John 5:28, 29). I hope you are comforted by Bible promises of a hopeful future (John 17:3).

Met Celeste when she was going to MANC in Olathe and I was a stockbroker in Kansas City. We never figured out how related we were, but she was a delight. I moved to New York and London and eventually Phoenix. I just tried to find her on Facebook tonight and was sad to see that she is gone.
