In Memory Of

After a five year battle with kidney failure, Chad Shick passed away on August 3, 2022. He spent his final days with his wife and five children in the comfort of his home.
A life of giving; Chad was always willing to give a hand or the first to give you the shirt off his back. He would help anyone he could whether it be home repairs, car repairs or bailing; you name it. Chad spent some time working as a boilermaker however his true passion in life, which he always returned to was ranch work.
Chad is preceded in death by, Douglas Shick, Tom Nielson, and sister, Tina.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughter, Anna; sons: Kyle, Cody, Joey, and Miekel (Samantha); grandchildren, Isaiah, Annisah, and Aralynn; mother, Judy; brother’s: Twaine (Laura Lee), Jody, and Joshua (Amber); nephews and nieces: Olivia, Trinity, Braiden, Preston, Quinn, Rustie, and Siera. Chad is also survived by numerous more family and close friends. Please forgive us if we forgot to mention you.
His ashes will be laid to rest on the land that he has loved since his childhood. An intimate celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Donations in Chad’s memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. Condolences to the Shick family may be sent to PO Box 353, Laurel, MT 59044.

I only remember Chad as a boy. I often played basketball alone at the VFW park during my HS days. Chad and Twain used to come out often and keep me company.

They were both good kids. Both Chad and Twain had good hearts….

I am sure he will be missed. Alive in memory.

I just learned of Chad’s passing and was shocked and saddened. Chad worked for my Dad 30 years ago on our family ranch near Broadus Mt. He was a very likable and hard working young man. I have great memories of working with him. My sincere condolences go out to his family. Please know you will be in our prayers at this difficult time.
