In Memory Of

Charles A. Brady, age 35, of Lame Deer

July 3, 1984 – October 7, 2019

Charles Brady, Aenheso, Swift Hawk, was born on July 3, 1984 to Gilbert Brady Sr. and Wanda Spear Brady. Joining his family, he made his grandparents Charles and Annie Brady very proud. They raised him in the family home.

Charles attended school at Washington Elementary in Billings, St. Labre in Ashland and Lame Deer Schools. Charles attended Chief Dull Knife College, where he played basketball throughout school. His one true passion was basketball.

Charles was a very complex individual Charles was always involved in different activities, but you could always witness his passion for life, love, friends and family.

Charles worked for Fed Ex (Missoula), Lame Deer School, BIA Roads and firefighting. Charles also helped his friends harvest wood and did some ranch work. After he helped with ranch work, he said he had found a new respect for ranchers and how hard they work.

When given the opportunity, Charles worked tirelessly to get his jobs and tasks done. Charles believed in people and their dreams and was often encouraging.

Charles had love for the activities he was taught such as hunting, camping, being a part of family, and he especially loved his grandparents which then transferred to respect for other grandparents to this day.

Charles met Arshanda Knowhisgun in 2005 and in this union, they had 6 children; Jamari, A’lairyn, Cheyris and Valon (both deceased), Brevin and Shandreya. They later separated in 2017.

Charles leaves behind his children, A’lairyn (Lujuana Ewing), Jamari and Shandreya (Sherri Ewing) and Brevin; parents, Wanda Spear and Gilbert Brady; brothers, George, Brandon and Gilbert (Juanita) Brady Jr.; and sister, Lynne Marie Brady.

Charles is preceded in death by his children, Cheyris and Valon Chaveo, his paternal grandparents, Charles and Annie Brady; brother, Barry and sister Miranda Shanta-Gunn.

We will miss the excitement and happiness he would have when he received news of someone’s milestone or achievement, or the quietness of his hug that said so many things. Charlie’s heart was as wide as the ocean is blue, and Seone has gained an awesome angel to watch over all his family and loved ones. We will miss you Aenoheso, Little Swift Hawk.

Stahv’haase Vohmes your coach really doesn’t determine your playing time. Your own choices do, your effort, your attitude, your work ethic. That’s what determines your time will it be on the court or in your life.
