Visitation for Charlie Snorteland, age 36, of Gillette, WY will be held from 3-7 P.M., Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at the StevensonWilson Funeral Home in Gillette.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Mr. Snorteland died November 16, 2005 at the University of Utah Hospital from injuries he received in an automobile accident on November 12, 2005 in Montana.
Charles Alan Snorteland, known to his family and friends as Charlie, was born June 14, 1969 in Hettinger, North Dakota, the son of Alan and Sharon (Evenson) Snorteland. Charlie was raised and educated in Bison, South Dakota. He graduated from Hettinger High School in 1987. After graduation Charlie entered the military serving in the army. After his honorable discharge Charlie worked as a custom combiner in South Dakota. He worked for several years as an over the road truck driver for various companies. Charlie lived in Bison and Rapid City, South Dakota before coming to Gillette in 2000 for a job at Great Western Homes. On March 21, 2003 he married Kris Hendricks in Las Vegas.
He currently was a chief operator for Herzog Services Inc., a job he very much enjoyed. Charlies enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, carpentry work, playing poker, loved Nascar, watching football and riding his newly purchased four wheeler. Charlie was member of the Gillette Eagles Lodge.
Charlie is survived by his wife and her family of Gillette, two sons: Devyn Hendricks of Gillette and CJ Snorteland of North Dakota; his father of Bison, SD; two sisters: Debbie Miller of Hettinger, North Dakota and Cindy Bertsch of Warner, South Dakota; brother, Mike Fix of North Carolina, several aunts , uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Charlie is preceded in death by his mother, grandparents Charles and Eileen Snorteland, Bobbie and Arvin Everson, and a brother in law Lauren Miller.
