Charlie was born in Lewistown, MT, son of Eugene J. Pigeon III and Virginia L. (Delaney) Pigeon. He has resided at Eastern Montana Veterans Home in Glendive, MT since 2022. Charlie passed away at Billings Clinic Hospital.
Charlie grew up and attended schools in Montana and North Dakota. He always had a paper route while in grade school. He joined the Navy during his senior year in high school and served on a ship in the Mediterranean. He was later given a medical discharge. He received his General Education Diploma from the state of Montana after he was out of the Navy. Charlie lived in various places in Montana and North Dakota.
Charlie lived life on Charlie’s terms but always on the positive side. “The clouds aren’t gray, they’re violet!” He enjoyed walking and being outdoors, later when his legs failed him, he enjoyed his scooter to take him outdoors. Charming and smart, you always came away learning more from every conversation. He concentrated on self help and meditations, and enjoyed listening to church songs.
Charlie will always be remembered as our beloved brother with a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eyes. He believed in his faith deeply, as we say goodbye to our sweet boy.

Daisy Delaney says
Charlie was indeed a loving and joyful person. As a child he was curious, energetic and full of surprises, which as an adult translated into his joyful personality and love of the deeper side of life. He always maintained a sense of humor and wit that brought a smile to your face. We’ll miss you sweet boy!
