Charles D. Watson, age 78, passed away on April 22, 2011 at the Rosebud Healthcare Center in Forsyth, Montana.
Charles was born on January 19, 1933 to parents Cleo Watson and Anna Ludwig in Meyers, Montana. He attended country school at Meyer West. He married Mary Ellen Biery on April 8, 1953 in Miles City, Montana. He worked on the John Grierson Ranch, and later moved to the Forsyth and Colstrip areas. He worked for Peabody Coal for over 25 years, and Charles and Mary Ellen made their home in Forsyth in 1995. Charles loved to hunt and fish, taking care of his yard, and most of all, spending time with his family.
Charles is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Watson of Forsyth, Montana; his sons, Daniel (Rita) D. Watson of Forsyth, Montana and David (Elizabeth) L. Watson of Richland, Washington; two daughters, Cynthia (Bruce) Miller of Colstrip, Montana and Marilynn Serrato of Forsyth, Montana; three brothers, Cletus (Dorothy) Watson of Miles City, Montana, Eddie (June) Watson of Forsyth, Montana, and Ken (Janice) Watson of Billings, Montana; his sisters, Jenny Jone's of Richland, Washington and Debra (Don) Reiger of Forsyth, Montana; eleven grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren. Charles was preceded in death by two brothers, James Doby and Allen, one sister, Lorraine Blackman, and his parents.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., with family to receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home in Forsyth. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home in Forsyth. Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
