Interment: will be held at a later date on the family ranch
Charles was born on July 30, 1917 to Matthew and Pearl Damm at the ranch house where he lived till he passed away on April 3, 2007. Adeline Neiman was midwife at his birth. He received his education in country schools, graduating from the 8th grade. He spent the rest of his life on the ranch. Never was married. He liked to carpenter and built most of the buildings at the ranch. When his folks got old, he took good care of them till they passed on.
He liked to take pictures and has a box full of one's he took, and he was an avid card player. He traveled a lot and most of the vacations he took were down south during the winter months. He went to Australia on a trip by himself once on a tour sponsored by a travel agency. Charles was a longtime member of both the Masons (57 years) and the Shriners (35 years).
Charles is survived by his brother Stanley (Georgia) Damm, sister-in-law Helen Damm, his seven nieces and nephews; Cheri (Earl) Alt, Deanna (Larry) Hay, Vicki Damm, Shawn (Corrina)Damm, Gregory (Debbie) Damm, Rick (Sheila) Damm, and Bonnie (Stanley) Powell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Lynn, a niece Sonia (Damm) Wilson, and a nephew, Spencer Damm.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 9, 2007 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Powder River Congregational Church in Broadus until the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will be held at a later date on the family ranch. Should friends desire, they may send condolences by visitingwww.stevensonandsons.com. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
