Dr. Chris (Adolph) Christenson was born May 29, 1930 in Miles City, MT; he passed away September 26, 2006 in Spokane, WA.
He is survived by his sons: Reed Christenson of Portland, OR, Brad (Jeanette) Christenson of Spokane; daughters: Amy (Chris) Jensen of Bellingham, WA, Lisa Christenson of Coeur dAlene, ID; friend, Douglas Stowe of Spokane; brothers: Don Christenson of Haslett, MI, Eugene Christenson of Springfield, OR; sister, Diann Kaul of Westby, MT; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Rudolph.
He was a member of the Spokane Area Council of the International Reading Association, Washington Organization for Reading Development, International Reading Association, Spokane Education Association, Washington Education Association, and the National Education Association. He was an Air Force Veteran, and has been a Reading Specialist for District 81 since 1955.
Visitation will be Friday, September 29, from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home, 2203 N. Division,Spokane WA 99207. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 30, at 1:00 p.m. at the Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home in Spokane.
