Chris Alan Cooper, age 51, of Miles City passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 after a short illness.
Chris was born in Miles City, Montana on August 17, 1970 to Alan and Marla (South) Cooper. He was the oldest of four children. He was the first grandson to Bud and Hazel Cooper. Hazel was his piano teacher and instilled in him a love for music of all kinds. Floyd and Grace South took him and his siblings to every sabbath. He was baptized into Seventh-day Adventists Church in May of 1983.
While attending junior high he played the trombone in the band and pep band. He enjoyed bowling and playing video games. He loved playing with his grandchildren and telling everyone about his Lord and Savior. In high school he met RaeDel and they had a son Drew. While working at Custer County Rest Home as a CNA, he met Melody Rhoads and they were married in 1993. To this union, a daughter Ashley was born.
Chris is survived by his wife Melody of Miles City; son Drew Bagley of Boulder, MT; daughter Ashley Cooper and her children Daiton, Genoa Belle and Amani all of Miles City. He is also survived by his father Alan Cooper of Miles City; brothers: Ryan Cooper of Missouri and Kevin (Kim) Cooper of Miles City, his mother Marla Hawkins and a sister Karie (Ray) Ryan of Buffalo, MO as well and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bud and Hazel Cooper and Floyd and Grace South and several aunts and uncles.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Parlor, 1806 Main Street, Miles City. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting: www.stevensonandsons.com.
