Chris Twomoons, age 31, of Busby

Chris Lee Twomoons, Mata’eestse “Mean Man”, was born in Crow Agency, MT; February 2nd, 1994 to Loren TwoMoons and Mary F. Means. He shared the same birthday as his Great-Grandfather Austin TwoMoons Sr. who affectionately called him his ‘twin.’

Chris received his education from Little Eagle Headstart; Lame Deer Public Schools; then ultimately graduating middle school and highschool from Northern Cheyenne Tribal Schools. A proud Busby Boy! He looked forward to playing basketball season every year, with his band of brothers for Coach Jace Killsback.He graduated in 2014.

After Highschool he worked jobs at the Lame Deer Trading, as a bagger/cashier; and at the Charging Horse Casino as a Cook in the restaurant.

He maintained his interest in basketball, though expanded his interests to include jujitsu, boxing, and MMA fighting. He was often training for these events.

His proudest accomplishments were being a father to his two beautiful daughters. Haven TwoMoons and MaryLee TwoMoons. He was their biggest fan! No accomplishment was too small for him to talk about and share about them. Needless to say, they were his Pride and Joy in this life.

Chris’s kindness, love,respect, generosity and great humor have been a true testament to his character. He was a man of heart! He accepted people as they were. He acknowledged and talked to everyone. Often sharing kind words and encouragement. Always willing to help when needed. He was a great friend to many!

He was also a great son and brother. Though he was the middle child, he often acted as the big brother and protector, even to his older siblings.

Chris’s final act in this life was hope and a 2nd chance. His organs were gifted to a few lucky people in this world. As he has blessed us with his life and character. He continued to bless others. His loving and giving character will live on in this world. We also would like to think his spirit would remain whole across the milky way.

He is preceded in death by his mother Mary F. Means; Great-Grandparents Austin and Hilda (Hart) TwoMoons; God father Nelson Wallace Sr. Grandfathers Billy TwoMoons, Kenneth TwoMoons, Austin TwoMoons Jr, George TwoMoons, Raymond Limpy, Clifford “Tuffy,” Homer and Eugene Limpy; As well as Bruce Robert Means.

Grandmothers: Bernidine (Bell) Means, Velma Walker,Floyd and Louise Fisher, Maritha Charette, Jeanne Strangeowl, and Marie Littlewolf. The Busby Eagle Grandma Cheerleaders! Uncles: Bruce Ronald Means, Bert, Jonathan, and Clowry Means, and Dustin TwoMoons. Aunty Betty Jo Killsnight. Brother in law Colton Michel.

Survived by his Father Loren TwoMoons. Daughters Haven and MaryLee TwoMoons. Another Special Daughter he never forgot about and always prayed for.

Chris left behind a great family that includes TwoMoons, Limpy’s, Risingsun’s, Harts/Beaverheart’s, Littlewhiteman’s, Brady’s, Roundstone’s, Littlebird’s, King’s, Wolfname’s, Walkers, Americanhorse,Killsback’s, Means, Bell/Whitebull’s, Posey’s, and Oldmans.

Our family is huge, and Chris had many friends. Please accept our sincerest apologies if we forgot anyone during this time of grief.

Thank you to Billings St. Vincent’s ICU nurses Allie, Ben, Jada, and Felicity;Chaplin Jeff; As well as Lifecenter Staff Beth and Becky for taking care of our Son, Brother, Father in the end. Your care, empathy, and respect to him meant the most to us at the end of his life.
