Christine Munson, 52, was born in Lewistown, MT on Dec. 26, 1955 to Ted and Gervase Sally (Darcy) Brown. Chris passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 10, 2008 at her home in Olathe, KS.
Chris met Rich Munson in Bozeman, MT in 1975. They were married in 1976. Chris and Rich moved many times while employed first with Conoco in Houston and later with Koch Transporttechnik GmbH in Germany. Since leaving Montana they have lived in Houston, Lake Charles, Cheyenne, Seattle, and now Olathe, KS a suburb of Kansas City. They owned the KFC in Bozeman, MT from January 1994 to October 1997.While living in Seattle from 2001 to 2005 Chris worked for Bellevue Hospital as the Medicare Biller for that hospital. She had other medical field jobs in other locations prior to that. Chris was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2003 and ultimately died due to complications from that disease.
Chris and Rich have two children. Sarah, born in 1976 and Ian born in 1979. Both children currently reside in Seattle. Rich currently works for Dearborn Midwest Conveyor Co. in Kansas City.Chris loved her family including her close family in Kansas and her extended family in Montana and California. She was a social person easily making friends with new people.
Chris is survived by her husband Rich, 53 of Olathe, KS daughter Sarah (Jack Jr.) Walters, 32 of Tukwilla, WA, son Ian Munson (Jennifer Stickland), 29 of Kirkland, WA and grandson Jack Walters III. She is also survived by her mother Sally Darcy of Black Eagle, MT as well as three brothers and one sister; Joanne (Chuck) Humphrey of Great Falls, Mick (Melinda) Brown of Great Falls, Jeff (Mary) Brown of Great Falls, Mike Bosworth of Sunland, CA. and numerous nieces and nephews.
Chris had a big heart and would do anything for her family. For Chris, a stranger was just someone she hadn't met yet. We will miss her deeply.
