Christine Ulrich, age 79, of Miles City passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at the Holy Rosary Extended Care in Miles City.
Christine was born in Bowdle, South Dakota on January 27, 1927, the daughter of Fred and Julia (Wolff) Sandmeier. She moved at an early age with her family to Savage, Montana where she attended schools. She remained in Savage until she married Garfield Ulrich on September 4, 1949 in Fallon, Montana. They farmed on the Fallon Flats where they raised seven children. In 1968, they moved to Miles City. Christine worked as a cook at 4-Bs and the 600 Cafe. Garfield passed away in 1990 and Christine remained in Miles City.
Christines family was her life and she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, and embroidery.
Christine is survived by five daughters: Julie LeMay of Miles City, MT; Rosella (Bob) Crichton of Billings, MT; Phyllis (John) Shear of Plains, MT; Viola McShane of Miles City, MT; and Peggy (Dru) Scott of Clovis, CA; two sons: Leonard Ulrich of Miles City, MT; and Thomas (Mary) Ulrich of Helena, MT; a sister, Victoria Pardis of Billings, MT; twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Garfield, three brothers: Alex, Henry and Ben; two sisters: Frieda and Atlanta, a son-in-law, RichardMcShane; and a granddaughter.
