In Memory Of

Christopher Gulden

October 20, 1991 – December 19, 2011

Christopher Douglas Gulden, age 20, of Miles City died on December 19, 2011 in a tragic car accident near Rosebud, Montana.
Christopher was born on October 20, 1991 to Lavonne and Jerry Gulden. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hanging out with his friends and family. He always made those who were around him laugh. He was a very entertaining young man. He loved playing pranks on anyone he was with, and got great pleasure when his tricks worked. He attended Custer County District High School of Miles City and became a man with many talents. He enjoyed working on vehicles and other mechanical things. He loved fixing things until they were basically broken or beyond repair. He was a compassionate person and was always willing to lend a helping hand at his parents´ home or to his friends who didn´t have a place to stay. Christopher had several special friends, Zac, Toni, Shilo, and Keffer. He had a zest for life.
He was taken from us far too early and will be missed dearly, not only by his family but also by his many friends. We all understand that we will all meet him again when the Lord decides our time.
Christopher is survived by his two sisters, Dona Gulden (Wayne) Moore of Cody, WY and Jamie Gulden of Miles City; his three adoring nieces, Breanna Moore of Cody, WY, Jessica Moore of Cody, WY, and Cadence Coleman of Miles City; three rowdy nephews, Clayton Moore of Cody, WY, Logan Moore of Cody, WY, and Seth Coleman of Miles City; his grandmother, JoAnn Preller of Miles City; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Donald Gulden, his grandmother, Caroline Hackett, and his grandfather, Calvin Preller. He loved spending quality time with all of his family members.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 26, 2011 at Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home in Miles City, with family receiving friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Burial will follow at the Custer County Cemetery. Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home of Miles City has been entrusted with the arrangements. LaVonne,
I am so very sorry for your loss. I know what it is to loose a child and I only pray that I never have to go through it again. If you need anything, please don’t hesitate to call…anytime. I know sometimes when I lost my first son, that I would wake up in the middle of the night crying and just needed to talk to someone just to know that someone else cared… if that is what you need, please don’t worry about calling, just call. If there is anything else I can do to help you through this please call. We all love and care so very much for you. My home phone is 234-2887 and my cell is 852-3255. Don’t ever feel like you’re alone with this…there are a lot of folks out there who care and will help you through this…don’t be afraid to ask. Again I’m so sorry you are having to go through this; you are a great person and Chris was a good kid. He had a great sense of humor and could always make a person laugh. I hope you can remember all the good times you and him had together and the times he made you laugh, these good times will support you and get you through this. Take care for now and when you’re ready for calls or visits, call. I know right now there is a lot to do and lots of people around, sometimes too many. Still if you need anything, know that you can call.

Christopher Columbus, I still cannot believe that this has happened to you and your friends. You have always been such an outgoing kid who quickly grew up to be a funny young man. Your time here was, sadly, shortened but you left a mark wherever you went. May God Bless you and your family. Watch over your family Chris, they need you more than ever! Lavonne, Doug, Donna, & Jamie, please know that you are in our family’s thoughts & prayers. My mom also wanted me to add if you need anything please let her know.

There are no words that helps. Just remember that if you need to talk or just yell and screem, call me and we can do it together. It makes me sick that we had to lose our kids in this way. I will always remember the good and the bad times both kids shared together.

Chris will b missed. my heart goes out to his family. He was so young. ill miss his smart tongue and his smile. He could always make me laugh. I used to tell to stop being a carl. we always had a good laugh from that,it was our inside joke. when i used to c him working on some mechanical thing, i would offer my gun, or a bigger hammer, that way he could just put it out of its misery. He will always live in my memories, and i can remember a lot of laughs with and Lance. i will always think of him as one of my boys. Love ya buddy!!

Your son would always drop everything if I or my daughter Heather Gackle ever remotelly needed any kind of help at all, even if she needed an ear to listen to her or a shoulder to cry on. Chris is made of extreme high moral fiber.

I just cannot seem to find the words to describe how I am feeling about this tragedy. Chris was more than just a friend to me, he was my homie. I felt so close to him. We always had so much fun, even when we were doing absolutely nothing at all. Just being around him was all I needed. Now he’s gone & I can’t even imagine how this life can go on without him in our lives. You were by far one of the best friends I have ever known and I will truly love and miss you forever and ever. You will NEVER be forgotten. Rest in peace my friend and someday we shall meet again.
