Christy Rose Woodenthigh, Morning Woman (Vooheha’e), 33, of Lame Deer, Montana passed away on March 6, 2020. Christy was born on December 25, 1986 to Victor Woodenthigh, Sr. and Cordelia K. Spang in Crow Agency, Montana.
Christy attended Lame Deer Public Schools and graduated as a Morning Star in May 2005. During her high school years, Christy enjoyed cheering on the Morning Stars as a cheerleader, as well as running cross country.
Christy had three beautiful children; Owen Woodenthigh, Natalie and Melody Threefingers, whom she loved very dearly. Her children meant the world to her, they were her pride and joy.
Christy loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved listening to music with her children. Christy loved all of her nieces and nephews and took them as her own. Her home was always open to her family. She was very kind hearted and was always willing to help others and lend a hand.
Christy loved working with children and has always happily volunteered for the Montana State University Northern Cheyenne Reservation Extension Service Program for 7 years. She was also employed as an assistant teacher for the Northern Cheyenne Headstart Program.
Christy is survived by her children; Owen, Natalie, and Melody, mother; Cordelia K. Spang, Sisters; Kimberly (Florris) MedicineBull, Aleda Spang, Carolyn (Charles) Oldman, Jodi and Shannon Wooodenthigh, brother; Wiljo (Charlotte) Spang, and Victor (Sereda) Woodenthigh, Jr., aunts; Lucinda (Joe) Fox, Ethelyn, Jocelyn and Jolene Spang, Lanita Littlewhiteman, Clara Harris, Theda Foote, Annie Bement, Iola and Germaine Woodenthigh, Uncles; Warren Spang and Melvin Woodenthigh, Sr.
Christy is proceeded in death by her grandparents, Alfonso and Emeline Spang, Teddy Woodenthigh and Eva Whitecrane, father; Victor Woodenthigh, Sr., Aunt; Alberta Spang, cousins; CJ and Henny Scott.
Extended families include; Spang, Fisher, Harris, Fox, Oldbull, Littlebird, Seminole, Shoulderblade, Whitecrane and Tallwhiteman.
Christy will be greatly missed by her children, family and friends.
The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and continued support during this difficult time.
