Cindy was born on October 19, 1958 to Kenneth Jesse and Sarah (Daily) Jesse. Ken helped deliver Cindy into this world along with the doctor. Cindy grew up and graduated from Powder River County High School in Broadus in 1976. She went to college, first attending Rocky Mountain College and then going to Eastern, now Montana State University, in Billings, graduating in 1984. She then attended Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. Cindy graduated with a business management degree. In Billings, Cindy worked at the courthouse, and later worked as a dental office manager at the University of Minneapolis. She then moved back home to Broadus to work. Cindy became a licensed E.M.T. and conducted training classes and CPR classes for the surrounding area. She worked at Jesse Ambulance Services and was "the boss" of the garage. After September 11th, she was appointed by the government for procedures on crisis training.
Cindy was a wonderful cook. Her specialties were fudge and her chocolate caramel birthday cake. She also enjoyed woodworking and made her oak kitchen doors herself. She was especially skilled in fixing things at home or in the office, and was always trying to fix anything that was broken, usually successfully. Cindy was a proud mom and loved to hear her girls sing and play the piano. She was a member of the Baptist Church and the Youth Issues Group. Cindy was always there for people in any situation; she was thoughtful to the needs of others before herself to the very end. She enjoyed having fun with her family, and they loved each other. She worked on building relationships with her family and friends.
Cindy is survived by her husband, Steve Graff, of Broadus; her daughters, Kourtney (Wayne) Hunking of Miles City, and Linda and Mary Graff of Broadus; her step-sons, Eric (Sara) of Billings, Ryan (Amy) of Fargo, ND, and Joel (Jill) of Iowa City, IA; her parents, Kenneth and Sarah Jesse of Broadus; her brother, Dick, of Broadus; her sisters, Darlene (Tom) Smith of Rapid City, SD and Lora (Steve) Jenks of Princeton, IN; and eight step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Minckler, in 1987.
