Funeral Service: Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at 2:00 pm at the Powder River Congregational Church in Broadus

Interment: will follow in the family lot of the Valley View Cemetery in Broadus, MT

Claire Honey Roberts, age 77, of Broadus, MT passed away on February 29, 2008 at the Powder River Manor in Broadus, MT surrounded by the love of her family.

Honey was born on February 27, 1931 in Miles City, MT the daughter of Harry Thomas and Gertrude M. (Dolan) Mitchell. She attended Mitchell School in Sonnette, MT and later in Anaconda, MT. Honey graduated as Salutatorian at Powder River High School. Honey was working for Holts Drug Store when she met and married Leonard Roberts on November 30, 1950 in Miles City. Following their marriage, they ranched in the Boyes community. In 1974 they moved to Locate, MT where they ranched until 1978 when they moved to Kinsey, MT. In 1980, Honey and Leonard moved to Miles City where they lived until retiring in 1987. The retirement life took them to Minnetonka, MN where Honey called home before moving to Broadus, MT in 2005 where she had resided since.

Honey enjoyed traveling with her sisters. There were a lot of memories and a lot of laughter from the Mitchell sisters out on the road. She was always an active woman who enjoyed being outside, working in her garden and being around animals. Honey liked bowling and reading. Her family, especially her grandchildren, were the most important thing to her. She loved taking care of everyone.

Honey is survived by her sons; Ron (Ann) Roberts of Scobey, MT, Mitch (Kathy) Roberts of Broadus, MT, daughters; Bonnie (Curtice) Randall of Broadus, MT and Candy Roberts of Chaska, MN, son-in-law Wayne Sinkie of Minnetonka, MN, three sisters; Dot Nalley of Broadus, MT, Bo Denson of Phoenix, AZ and Streamie Mellville of Butte, MT. She is also survived by her prides and joy, ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Honey is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leonard Roberts in 1996, her daughter Sandy Sinkie and her sister Eva Deitchler.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Broadus. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at 2:00 pm at the Powder River Manor. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at 2:00 pm at the Powder River Congregational Church in Broadus. Interment will follow in the family lot of the Valley View Cemetery in Broadus, MT. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting: www.stevensonandsons.cm.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Powder River Manor for room renovation or to the Powder River Museum. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Broadus has been entrusted with the arrangements
