Clarence Kuehn age 88 of Terry Montana passed away on Monday, June 18 at the Prairie Medical Assistance Facility. Clarence was born on the Kuehn Homestead on October 23, 1929 the son of Gotthilf and Lydia (Buechler) Kuehn. He attended the Becker Country School through 8th grade. Clarence married Violet Neiffer on May 21, 1950 in Terry, Montana at Trinity Lutheran Church. He and Violet lived on the Kuehn Homestead, that eventually became Kuehn Ranch, until he semi-retired and moved into Terry in 1997. Clarence continued to help on the ranch with haying and other work until 2010. Together, Clarence and Violet had four children: Kevin, Georgianne, DeAnn, and Kristi. He was also a life-long member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Clarence enjoyed reading, farming, ranching, telling stories, and in later years having coffee at 4-Corners.
Clarence is survived by his by his three daughters: DeAnn (Mark) Dige of Renton, WA, Kristi (Robert) Wade of Aurora, CO, and Georgianne Kuehn of Hardin, MT, and daughter-in-law Lisa Everett, of Terry, sisters Darlane Pisk of Terry and Mildred Leifke of Grandview, WA; four grandchildren Kaitlyn and Kyle Dige and Logan and Brynn Wade. He was proceeded in death by his wife Violet Kuehn, son Kevin Kuehn, his parents and six siblings.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Terry. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Community Presbyterian Church in Terry. Interment will follow in the Prairie County Cemetery.
