In Memory Of

Clement Killsnight, age 55, of Lame Deer

August 2, 1962 – May 9, 2018

Clement Killsnight, White Bird Vé’késȯhvó’komaestse, started his journey home on May 9, 2018. Clement was a gentle soul who got along with everyone, although very soft spoken, he enjoyed visiting with everyone.

Clement was born at Crow Agency on August 2nd, 1962, his parents were James Francis Killsnight and Regina Longroach.  Clement was 1 of 10 siblings in the family and was the 8th born.  He was preceded in death by:  grandparents:  Carrie (Red Robe) and Willis Killsnight.  Parents:  Regina

(Longroach) and James Killsnight, Sr.  Brothers:  Christopher, Xavier, Ferdinand and James Killsnight, Jr Sisters:  Gertrude and Drucella Killsnight.  Nieces: Toni Fisher and Tonya Killsnight.  Nephew:  Francis Crooked Eyes, Jr., Granddaughter, Roseann Fisher.

Clement is survived by:  Sisters:  Rosanne (Wayne) Headswift and Velecia Killsnight of Lame Deer.  Brothers:  Marcian (Connie) Killsnight of Billings and Anthony (Betty) Killsnight of Tulsa, Ok.

Numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren, especially: Celestine Jones, Anya Fisher, Regine Littlewhiteman, who were very close to him, they were the ones who endured his “perfectionism”.  He attended LD Elementary, Colstrip, and graduated from Busby High School on May 21, 1981. While attending Dull Knife Memorial College he gave the student address at AIHEC in 1996.

He worked at the Boys and Girls Club, Cheyenne  Depot, and Lame Deer  IGA.  He enjoyed fishing, listening to music, also hosted dances and being the DJ.  He also loved being the choreographer for his nieces and nephews.  He     especially liked attending the Morning Star          Basketball and football games.  He would often be the one putting streamers and balloons up during the tournaments and cheer on the Morning Stars.

He was a creative person and a perfectionist with everything he hosted or organized.

CLEM WILL BE MISSED BUT NOT FORGOTTEN, HE MAY BE OUT OF SIGHT BUT NEVER OUT OF MIND.

ITS HARD TO FORGET SOMEONE WHO GAVE YOU SO MUCH TO REMEMBER.

So sorry for your lost, I remember Clement when he worked at the Depot, me and my daughter Vincynthia used to always tease him, he would tease us back in his quiet tone of voice. So soft spoken but always made us laugh at the silly things he would say. Yup, he will be greatly missed, Rest In Peace my friend, travel home on Angel’s wings, tell Vince I miss her.

My uncle, I will miss him. I grew up surrounded with his love of music and it enhanced my love of music. His room was a sanctuary of all things he loved, the posters of artists he loved. The thing I remember most is the mirror ball he had hanging from the ceiling. The disco dances at the catholic social room, his stereo, his lights, his posters.. the wallflowers in bloom.. god has gained one the best disco Deejay in rez history.. and the best hair stylist, hair cutter.. I love you my uncle.. I will miss you..
