Wake Service: Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Lame Deer, MT

Funeral Service: Friday, January 29, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Lame Deer, MT

Burial: will follow in the Lame Deer CemeteryCleo Whitehawk, Dostina (Piercing Woman) age 46, of the Lame Deer and Billings areas passed away peacefully at St. Vincent Hospital with her family by her side on Sunday January 24, 2010.

Cleo was born December 20, 1963 in Lame Deer the daughter of John Whitehawk Jr. and Lucille Whitehawk (Tall Whiteman). She started her schooling in Lame Deer and finished it at Morman Placement Center in Washington State.She met Russell James and they made their home in Lame Deer. They had six children together and Cleo had two children with her late husband Charles Cryar.Cleo enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. She also enjoyed cooking traditional foods, cutting dry meat and making everyone smile.She was preceded in death by Lucille Whitehawk, John Whitehawk Jr., Clarence Whitehawk, Mavis Whitehawk, Hannah James, Martha Harstad and Carl Tall Whiteman.

Cleo is survived by her children; Toni James (Waylon), Hunter James (Shainee), Christian James (Judith), Jesse James, Rusty James, C.J. Cryar and Jeramiah Cryar; special companion Spencer TaFolla; grandchildren Sonny Crazy Mule Jr., Ashanti Crazy Mule, LayLa, Crazy Mule, Allison Faye Crazy Mule, Ariel Spang, Alora Spang, Maria Spang, Hayden James and Hunter James Jr.; brothers John (Faith) Whitehawk III and their children Johnae and Coby Whitehawk , Jerome (Mariah) Whitehawk and their children Shandan, Aspen, Peyton, Kiara, and Gage, Michael Wolfe Jr. and Bryce Killsontop. She is also survived by extended family including the Bear Chums, Ryans, Bradys, Tall Whitemans, Marshalls, Yellow Robes, Medicine Tops and Fighting Bears. Our family is large and we apologize if we have forgotten to mention a family member.
