Graveside Service: Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at 11:00 am at the Hearts of Peace Cemetery in Brusett
Clinton Phipps, age 64, of Brusett, MT passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2007 while working on the family ranch.
Clinton was born on December 26, 1942 in Jordan, MT. He was the youngest of eight children born to Charles and Elsie (Loomis) Phipps. He attended first through eight grades at Pine Grove School, but never quit learning.Clinton married Prentice Negaard on October 11, 1963 in Courdalene, ID. After they were married they returned to the family ranch where they lived and worked until his death. Clinton was very proud of his family and loved them very much. He was known in the community for his kindness, generosity, vast mechanical knowledge, and problem solving abilities He had a deep love for and close relationship with the Lord. Clinton also loved his cattle and calving time was his favorite time of year.
Clinton is survived by his wife, Prentice, daughters Jodi (Kelly) Pierson, Beth (Christo) Pierce and Nicole (Steve) Downs, his grandchildren; Dixie Pierson, Isaac Pierson, Nathan Downs, Melissa Downs and Abby Pierce, brothers Curtis (Flossie) Phipps, Frank Phipps, sisters Evelyn (Curtis) Chamberlin and Mary (Robert) Cowin, sister-in-laws Margie Phipps and Nelleen (Phipps) Liese and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Elsie Phipps, brothers Roy, David and Robert Phipps, nephew James Phipps and niece Cheryle Negaard.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 9, 2007 with the family to receive friends from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Fairview Hall. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at 11:00 am at the Hearts of Peace Cemetery in Brusett. A potluck luncheon will follow the graveside at the Fairview Hall in Brusett, MT.
