Clyde Douglas Mury, 67, of Grass Range, passed away on October 19th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He left behind a legacy of Love, Wisdom and a quiet Strength. Clyde was a man who lived with a purpose and a man who faced life’s trials with grace and courage. His generosity and unwavering kindness touched everyone he met, and his memory will forever inspire us to live with the same compassion and integrity.
Clyde was born January 3rd, 1958, in Jordan, MT to Arnold and Mary (Miller) Mury. He grew up on his family’s ranch in the Missouri River Breaks alongside his older brother Dwane, sister Karen, brother Sam and youngest sister Cheryl. He attended and graduated from Garfield County High School in 1976. Clyde always had a passion and deep love for horses which ignited his love of rodeo. Clyde went on to attain many accolades including one of which he was most proud, his 1982 Bareback Riding Rookie of the year award. Although family friends for many years, Clyde found the love of his life within that friendship with Carmen Saylor and they wed on January 8th, 1983, in Jordan, MT. They had three Children; Chase, Carime, and Colton, all of which were the apple of his eye. Clyde found true happiness when he was horseback, tending to his cattle on some of the most beloved places he was fortunate enough to reside on with his most favorite places being the Brown Ranch in Sand Springs as well as the Three Butte Ranch in Grass Range. Aside from that he enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren grow.
Clyde is survived by his wife Carmen; son Chase (Toni) Mury of Great Falls; daughter Carime (JR) Tuss of Grass Range; and Son Colton (Alyshia) Mury of Musselshell; grandchildren Sawyer, Keelyn, Cash, Nevada, Tildon, and Braelynn as well as numerous nieces and nephews; brothers Dwane (Barb) Mury and Sam Mury, and sisters Karen (Lee) Paulson and Cheryl (Tom) Fogle. He is preceded in death by his father Arnold; mother Mary; father-in-law Claude Saylor; mother-in-law Darlene Rich; brother-in-law John Saylor; and nephew Josh Murnion.
A Funeral Service for Clyde will be held at 1:00 p.m. on, Monday, October 27th, 2025, in the gymnasium at Grass Range High School in Grass Range, MT. A reception will be held at 3:00 p.m. following the funeral service at the Wrangler Bar & Café in Grass Range.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the GRHS new oven fund for the cafeteria.

Carmen and family,
I want to send some prayers to help you through this time of sorrow. During our time at GGCH Clyde was always the one to bring a big smile to every event he attended. He always appeared to be so excited to try new things and often times whatever he attempted to do was successful. Being a Cowboy was one of those things that he was successful at. God Bless you all.
