On July 31, 2016 Ma’heo called Cody Collins home. Cody was born August 3, 1984 to Lori Jo Collins. Later was raised by his adopted Father James Wick who loved him as his own son. Cody was a Descendent of Chief Joseph on his Grandmother Loretta side. On his Grandfather John side he was a Descendent of Chief Red Cloud. Cody had two sisters and one bother who loved dearly. He attended school at St. Labre Catholic School in Ashland, MT graduating in 2002. At his early age he was introduced to his Cultural ways by his grandparents John and Loretta Collins such as handgames, sweats, pow-wows and other ceremonial traditions. One of his passions was sings handgame songs with his brother Virgil; also pitching horseshoes with his brother Robert. He loved to hang out with his aunties, Bird and Barb. He also lived 2 to 3 years with his uncle Verdell and Shonna. Cody was loved by Shonna’s family the Birdingrounds. Then Cody was adopted by Joe, aka Pops, and Emily Weaselbear as their own son. Later years he had lived with Virgil, Nakia and Christy and became a part of their family. Rose Bearchum then took him as a son. Barbra Little Owl also adopted Cody as a son. Cody made friends everywhere, people loved him. On November 11, he met the love of his life Jacklyn at Bismarck, ND and had three beautiful children Kennedy, aka Tiny, Konnor and Kollins. Cody was an awesome husband and father. No words could ever express the love he had for them.
He is proceeded in Death by his grandparents: John and Loretta Collins; brothers: Maurice Prairie Chief , Jeff and Ross Parker Jr.; and Uncle Lloyd Runsabove.
He is survived by his parents: Lori Jo Collins and James Wick; sisters: Mari (Andre) and Britany (Tevan) Wick, Loretta Collins, Loren Birdinground, Christy Bearchum, Lisa Costa; brothers: Otto Wick, Jonethyn (Makayla) Collins, Antonio Garcia, Taylor (Chelsea), Colten, Sklyer, and Verdell Collins Jr, Robert Bearchum Jr, Sohnie Stern, Les Hogan Jr, Tylen Tallbull, Ronnie Craig, Julian Hiwalker, Ivan Ryan, Walter, Spike, Scott, Mathew Birdinground; uncles: Verdell (Shonna) Collins, Walter, Bill, webby Runsabove; aunties: Barb and Bird Collins, Tonia Jorgensen, Jennette Scott, Trudy Bixby, Rose Dillard, Anne, Addie, Alice, Maggie, Della Runsabove; nieces and nephews: Daniel Gunzara, Domeneke Bearchum, Kylee and Carli Collins, Kathryn Little Brave, Michael, Emily, Gretchen, Micah, Virgil Jr, Joseph Samuel, and Germaine Weaselbear, Marian, Talissa, Arianne and Roy American Horse; extended family: Collins, Wick, Runsabove, Halfmoon, Curley, Siouxcalf, Cain, Costa, Parker, Sherman, Mc Curry, Foote Weaselbear, Woodenthigh, Haugen, Hart, Birdinground, Johns, Villegas, Smith, Jorgensen Bement, Grants, American Horse, Scott.
