In Memory Of

Colter Mitchell, age 37, of Miles City

February 15, 1985 – April 30, 2022

Colter Mitchell has passed and is already greatly missed.

Colter was often described by many who met or knew him as charming, friendly, polite, and kind. He had a huge smile and enjoyed talking to anyone of any age.

Colter had a huge heart. He was a loyal son, brother, uncle and friend. He had a caring personality and wanted the people around him to be happy. While he may have struggled to help himself and keep himself safe, he would always help anyone else and want to keep them safe.

Colter was proud of his parents and his upbringing. Colter, along with his siblings, were homeschooled most of his school career by their mom. He was given a wonderful education and had an amazing ability to learn. As an adult he would often read textbooks on complex topics just to increase his knowledge. He had a mind for learning.

Colter loved to swim, and he was good at it! He was an absolute fish in the water and loved to see how far he could dive down. He also enjoyed puzzles, especially challenging ones.

Colter really loved children. He was a bit of a big kid himself. So, he was always up for playing with the kids and having fun with them. He would love a good water fight, nerf battle, or just about any other activity that allowed him to enjoy being a kid with the kids. He was a proud uncle and enjoyed being around his nephews and nieces.

While Colter struggled with his own difficulties, he did have strong faith. He believed deeply in God and the Bible and he was confident that there will be a resurrection in the future. He struggled to follow God’s laws in his life, but he knew that God was still there for him and cared for him.

Colter was survived by his Dad, Jim Mitchell; his Brother, Levi Mitchell and his wife Lyndsey along with their children Lane, Libby, Emily and Dylan; his Sister, Cedar Speer and her husband Zeb along with their son Ocean.

Colter was preceded in death by his Mom, Tiena Mitchell. He really cared about his mom and missed her deeply. He will be so happy to wake up and see her again.

Colter is now at peace. Colter will be deeply missed by his family and friends. The memory of his bright smile, charming wit and energetic personality will never be forgotten. We will always cherish the good memories and times spent with Colter.
