Colton Lee Michel, Vekeseheveho “Bird Chief” age 25 of Busby MT, was called home early Sunday morning September 24, 2023.
Colton was born to Sunny Jean TwoMoons and the late Mathias Bigback Michel on June 23, 1998, blessing this world with that unforgettable smile.
He was raised by his great grandparents Ernestine and Beaver TwoMoons. Growing up life threw it’s share of “monkey wrenches” his way but Colt Lee always came through the other side smiling and styling.
As the eldest of five siblings, he did his best to set a good example, hoping to show his siblings that in life anything is possible.
In 2015 he met the love of his life Jayna Lei. Shortly after they welcomed their son Matthias Lee in 2016, then on November 2, 2019, they made it official marrying in Clark Wyoming.
He was currently employed with the Northern Cheyenne Investigation Unit as a telecommunications officer. He also worked as a cashier at the Busby Station. He was a very hardworking man and made sure he provided for his family.
He is survived by his wife, Jayna Lei Michel, son Matthias Lee Michel. Mother Sunny Jean TwoMoons, mother-in-law Misty Friday, Grandpa Mathew “Beaver” TwoMoons Sr., Grandmother’s Geneva Glenmore, Sharlene Evans and Farrell Evans. Aunties, Marty TwoMoons, Billie Beth TwoMoons, Talitha TwoMoons, Roberta Bigback, Gail Bigback, Ronnette Glenmore, Kariston TwoMoons, Lucinda Michel. Uncles, Macklyn TwoMoons of Spokane, Morgan, Matt Jr., Wayland and Ernest TwoMoons, Sage Oldcrow. Brothers, Karl TwoMoons, Buddy Jawort, Carlton TwoMoons, Sisters, Savana TwoMoons, Janesha Weaslebear, Josha TwoMoons (Town), Texiera “Bear” Two Moons Pine and Shiloh Two Moons Pine. Special cousin, Corbin TwoMoons. Special friends, George Hodges, Johnny Morgan, Donald Bishop, Wes Homewood, Leonard and William Littlewhiteman and all of his welding school buddies, Ben Littlesun. Brother-in-laws, Cassius Swank, Douglas Swank Jr., Tyler Medicine Horse III, Dre Marsh, Little sister-in-laws/daughters, Maryjane and Renita “lala”Ogle. Tamia (Dewey) Swank.
He is prececed in death by his father Mathias Lee Michel III, grandmothers Marvena TwoMoons Christine “Tina” Bigback, grandfather Mathias Michel II, Clifford rideshorse, great grandmother Ernestine TwoMoons. Josh TwoMoons, John Glenmore, Brian TwoMoons, Laureen Rockroads, Lara Bigback.
Relatives include: TwoMoons, Seminole, Hisbadhorse, Evans, YellowRobe, Rockroads, American Horse, Wolfnames. Our family is large, sorry if we forgot anyone.
