In Memory Of

Constance Alice Kemph, age 89, of Forsyth

September 14, 1935 – February 20, 2025

“Be still and know that I am God.” – Psalm 46:10

Constance Alice Kemph, born on September 14, 1935, in Billings, Montana, to Roy and Bergettha Bickle, was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 20, 2025. She lived a life full of love, faith, and devotion to her family and friends.

Connie, as she was lovingly known, raised three families, giving her heart and soul to her seven children. She began her higher education at the age of 40, graduating with a degree in social work at the age of 43, demonstrating her resilience and dedication to learning. Throughout her life, she found joy in helping others and shared her passion for serving her community with grace.

Connie was happily married for over 40 years to her best friend, Monty Kemph, who passed away in December 2020. Their love was a beautiful testament to the power of partnership and faith. Even after Monty’s passing, Connie continued to honor their bond and lived with a strong sense of purpose.

Connie had an unshakeable love for Jesus and took every opportunity to share that love with others. Her faith remained a constant throughout her life, even in her final days.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Monty, one daughter, and one granddaughter.

She is survived by her sister, E.J. Weight of Rosebud, MT, daughters Glenna (Wayne) Krehbiel of Utah, Cindy (John) Ward of California, Kerri (Jeff) Footer of Texas, and Cassie (Trey) Lampkin of Texas. She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and many others whom she lovingly embraced as extended family.

Her life was a true reflection of strength, faith, and love. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of unwavering faith and devotion will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to be part of her life.

No services will be held. Her final resting place will be alongside her husband Monty in Sun River, MT.

    EJ, Cindy and family
I hope happy memories give you peace. I was blessed to have Monty and Connie as neighbors and friends. I always looked forward to our morning coffee and maple bars, working in the flowers and yard, binge watching The Virginan, and our many special visits. Connie was a wonderful person and a very special part of my life. Her passing will leave void in my life but I am certain she is walking with Jesus. You are in my heart and prayers.

Connie was the church secretary at Westside Baptist when James (my husband) was the associate pastor. The two of them developed a friendship based on scars from their past experiences. Connie helped James face his hurt and work through it. Because of her encouragement , God brought healing that changed him for the better. She loved Jesus and she loved others. Her smile was genuine and warm. She and Monty blessed us so much.

Connie was a great lady. Yes, she loved Jesus and was never ashamed to talk about him. I had the pleasure to take care of her feet for her when she came to Miles City. I was always amazed at how she got here but she loved having her feet done. She loved Monty so much and carried so much in her heart as she didn’t get to be with him as he passed. She was an absolute delight.. and I know our Lord is proud of her and the example she was. She will be missed.

Connie and Monty were like step-parents for me when I worked in Great Falls and attended the Adventist Church in 2009-2010. What wonderful, kind and honest folks. Both Monty and Connie were examples of love and an encouragement. Their love for Jesus and uplifting perspectives on life was an inspiration to me. I am very grateful to have known them. And I am looking forward to being with them in the near future when Jesus comes to take His faithful ones to Heaven.

My wife and I first met Connie and Monty when they moved to Abilene TX. They were such a blessing to fellowship with in our local Adventist Church. Both of them were active in ministry sharing their hope and faith in Jesus. We kept in touch after we left the area and continued as they move back to Montana. It was always great to hear how they were doing and despite their many health challenges, they were always positive and trusting in Jesus. After Monty passed Connie kept on ministering in her local community. One of the last times my wife and I spoke with Connie she was sharing how she was studying the Bible with people at the local nursing home. We miss her and Monty so much but are comforted by the happy memories we have and the steady hope of seeing them again in the Lord’s Kingdom.
