Our beloved Constance Hope Coughlin “Connie” passed away in Boise, Idaho on April 25th, 2018 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born December 16th, 1940 in Terry, Montana to Jay Coughlin and Ethel Sweet who both proceeded her in death. In June of 1958 she married Albert Charles Anderson whom she later divorced. She then married John Franklin Smith in 1974.
After a long banking career in Montana they moved to Boise in 1989 where she enjoyed playing her piano, dancing to 50’s music, listening to Elvis Presley sing, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a compassionate CNA caregiver who enjoyed taking care of others. Her love, warmth, humor, and exuberance for life will never be forgotten.
She leaves behind her husband John; daughters Cidre Sivils (Ed) of Helena, Montana and Karlene Williams (Matt) of Boise, Idaho, son Jeremi Schlader (Kiley) of Middleton, Idaho; grandchildren Andie & Colton Sivils, Kaylan, Sierra & Corbin Williams, Maddie & Mason Schlader; two siblings Pat Coughlin of Billings, Montana and Evelyn “Sis” Lordemann (Hank) of Glendive, Montana and numerous nieces and nephews.
Connie, we know you are dancing once again and your memories are restored. Alzheimer’s may seem to win on earth but not in Heaven.
In lieu of flowers please donate to the Alzheimer’s Association.
