Our family, community and world were very blessed when the Creator blessed us with Crystal on April 29, 1987. Crystal was born in Crow Agency, Mt. to Flora Parker and Terry Olson and given the name “Eagle Trail Woman” by her Grandmother, Jennie Parker.
Crystal spent her life in and around the Ashland area, where she attended school at St. Labre, Ashland Public and graduated from Broadus High School. Crystal participated in sports including AAU wrestling, where she qualified for National’s three times. She was also a member of the Business Professionals of America, later attending the National American University in Rapid City, South Dakota.
Crystal had many hobbies and especially loved to fish, hunt, ride horses, work and help in raising nieces and nephews, and she had one very special niece, Sharlyce. Crystal was often encouraging children to stay in school and to make better life choices. She was an avid pool player and looked forward to every pool season and tournaments that didn’t interfere with family occasions.
Crystal was known to be an outgoing, loving person with a strong will to help others, never asking anything in return. She volunteered at the Food Bank and Ashland Public School, and always donated during the blood drive. Every year Crystal helped coordinate the Little Bighorn Memorial Ride, having been adopted by families; The White Hawk, Lone Hill, Yellow Bull, Brewer, Jumping Eagle and other extended families from the South Dakota area. Crystal also participated in the Ft. Robinson Run. Crystal never hesitated to let her family know that she loved them, and what they meant to her. She was known to be very helpful, always lending a hand and sharing her big bright smile and good humor while she did so. Crystal’s belief of being nonjudgmental and always accepting others was admirable. In her younger years, Crystal participated in dancing and as she grew older, she continued attending pow-wows. Crystal was very perceptive and at an early age began learning her culture and traditions. We often were very relieved during ceremonies when Crystal was around as she knew what and how things needed to be done.
Crystal was preceded in death by her Grandpa Shirley Parker, Grandparents John and Regina Whiteman, John Seminole, and Lucille Spear, Sister, Toy Parker and brothers, Ryan, Jeff, Boonzie and Willy.
Crystal is survived by her Mother, Flora, her Father, Terry, her Grandmother, Jennie Parker, Grandfather Lloyd Little bird, Troy and Teresa Wilson, who were her other parents, her brothers, Alvin, Sage, Shirley, Jessie, Rocky, Steven, Stephen, LJ, Tom, Rufus, Lucas, Gabe, Mikey, Nick, Charlie, and Joel. Sisters; Trisha, Desiree, Miranda, Stacy, Steph, LaVonne, Judi, Heather, Therese and Cassie. Our family is very large and we apologize if we have not mentioned someone. It is not our intention to leave someone out.
Traditional Wake will be 7PM Sunday September 23, 2012 at the St. Labre Mission. Funeral Services will be 11AM Monday September 24, 2012 at the St. Labre Mission. Burial will take place at the Parker Poor Farm. Stevenson’s & Son’s Funeral Home of Forsyth are assisting the family with the arrangements and you may send your condolences for the family at www.stevensonandsons.com.

Every time I needed a book keeper at the Ashland Public boys basketball games I always knew who to call and who was dependable, and that was Crystal.last year she was at every game cheering on the Broncs you could see her passion for the kids! And every kid knew her! Every morning when we worked at Ashland public together I always had to start my day off with her famous pot of coffee! Crystal will be missed but not forgotten the Broncs nation lost a fan! But we know she will always be there in spirit for our youth. My prayers are with the family.

I’m not sure if ya’ll will remember me but we were neighbors with you folks in Cheyenne Village many years ago. (Daniel & Nona Waddington are my parents) My sisters Charlee, Maret & I were all friends with Crystal, Tricha & Boonzie there, we’d ride around on our bikes in the culdasac. I wish I would have spoke up when I would ocasionally see ya’ll in Billings these past few years but I was never brave enough to just say “hello” & now I wish I would have. I’m so very very sorry for your loss, from what I remember Crystal always had a smile on her beautiful face & she will always be remembered. May the Lord bless & keep you all in Jesus precious name. ~Heather Waddingon
