Cynthia Louise Lewis (Nanny), 55, passed away on July 16th, 2014 at the Advanced Care Hospital, in Billings Montana. Cynthia was born on September 7th, 1958 in Vineland New Jersey, the eldest child of Allen E. and Barbara Freedline Hall.
Cindy moved to Montana around the age of 15, at which time she held several jobs, ranging from flagger on highway crews to babysitting. In her early life she was an outgoing, vibrant person that enjoyed life to its fullest. Not long after moving to Montana she met her Bill Lewis. By that time she had already had two daughters, Denise and Lana. She then gave birth to two sons in her marriage with Bill, BJ Lewis and Dustin Lewis.
Cindy had many loves in life, but what she lived for, and cherished by far was her children and grandchildren. She doted on her children and was easily the most caring person anyone could have the pleasure of meeting.
She enjoyed sewing quilts and crocheting afghan’s for her family. Before she went in for a heart surgery in late February; she attempted to crochet an afghan for each of her children and grandchildren. Her first attempt again after many years without practice, lead to a blanket that was so long it could have easily been folded over to fit a king sized bed at least twice; this amused her greatly. Among her loves in life she enjoyed the company of her pets, which included cats, and dogs.
She was an art lover as well. In her earlier years she had a passion for drawing horses and other animals. She was a gentle soul; kind hearted and giving, even after her health started to fail. She was a caring mother and grandmother, whom will be missed greatly.
She is survived by her husband, Bill; her children: Denise Quick, Lana Lewis, BJ and Dustin Lewis; her sisters: Katheryn Hall and Denise Hall; her mother Barbara, her father Allen, and six grandchildren.
“And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” Rev. 21:4.

My sincere condolences to the family of Cynthia Louise Lewis – It was never the Creator’s purpose for mankind to suffer (Romans 5:12). In the Bible death is called an “enemy” (1 Corinthians 15:26). May God give you peace through his promise to comfort us (2 Corinthians 1:3, 4). I hope that you are consoled by Bible promises of a hopeful future (John 17:3).
