My girl Cynthia Lyn Whiteman was born on January 11, 1987 to Carol Long Jaw and Franklin Dean Whiteman Sr. She grew up in the upper West side of Lame Deer & raised by her dad and after his death in 2001 her Grandma Vicki Wounded took over the responsibility of raising Cynthia as her own. She attended school in Busby and Lame Deer. Cynthia has a few favorite cousins that she grew up with and helped her through her life, Candice Red Hat, Violet Whiteman, Talena Shoulderblade, LaVondy, Sierra, George Eagle, Julio Brady & Kemo Lopez. She had a special friend Summer Flores. Cynthia grew up in the Busby Assembly church of God in Busby, Mt. where Harry Turner was the Pastor & enjoyed attending church with her grandma Vicki. She received a certificate in Engineering @ Kicking Horse Job Corps in Ronan, Mt. Cynthia was currently living in Oceanside, CA where she called home. She loved traveling and enjoyed life. She traveled with Benny’s concession to various powwows around the powwow circuit. She really enjoyed meeting people from all over. She will be remembered by her laughter and smiles & mainly her friendliness. Her words telling us she loved us will greatly be missed. She was blessed with 4 children Kenyon, Jaleel, Tolin & Isabella, her love for her children were endless. They were always on her mind & in her heart.
Cynthia is survived by her mother Carol Long Jaw of Billings, her siblings Evangeline Spoonhunter Long Jaw & children D’Angelo & Miley, Randy (Mariah Laforge) Risingsun, Shannon (Isaiah) Birdinground & Andrew Birdinground, Shawna Leigh Youngbear & children Leila, Natasha, Lorenzo, Maiana & Ainsley, Zachary Long Jaw, Terrance Fields, Roland Jr., Asia & Romeo Laforge, her big brothers Franklin Whiteman, Jr (Franklin III, Dominic, Twilla) & John (Sonny) Bigback. Cynthia loved all her siblings who she kept in contact with frequently just to say I love you!!
Her aunties Dana & children Jeffrey, Trevor & Delaina, Francine & children Detrich, Dyron, Talena, Tiffany, Derek, Tonielle, Donielle (Donny), Valentine Whiteman & children Anthony, Pamela & Vereal & Irene Red Cloud & children Travis, Alvin & Sammy D. of South Dakota, her favorite auntie Victoria Brady, Marilyn Marquiss. Auntie Rennie (K-9) Whiteman Pena & children Jonah Redcherries, Kalene, Zachary, Sissy & Robyn Iron. Uncles Frank Whiteman III & children Bethany & Zachariah, Joseph Long Jaw Jr, Phillip Whiteman & family. Charlie, Timothy, Cheyenne & Shannon Long Jaw, sister cousins, Violet & Mike He Crow & children Jonita, De’Quan, Ma’kyla, Zayden, Jubilee, LaKeisha Walksnice & children Amiyah, Ezekiel, LaTrina Walksnice & children Blake & Arianna, also Sharane Whiteman & Arissa Bighawk also her brother cousins John Knowshisgun , Zachary Knowshisgun

She also had siblings who she loved along with her nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts & cousins. Cynthia had a big heart full of love. Cynthia was blessed to have been raised by both sides of the family especially the grandparents.
Cynthia has reunited with her father Franklin Whiteman Sr. who she missed so much, her sister Asia Skye LaForge her maternal grandparents Joseph Long Jaw Sr. Mary Jane Crooked Eyes, grandma Hilda Moss was one of her favorite grandmas. Victoria Walksalong & Great grandma Edith Manley. Paternal grandparents, Frank (Aroma) Whiteman Jr & Vicki Wounded, great grandparents Cora Owns the Fire & William Wounded, Frank Whiteman Sr. & Emma Lightning. Paternal aunties Anita, Julia & Janice Whiteman, Uncle George Long Jaw. She also joined her brother Bernadine (B.J. Bear) Shoulderblade Jr. nephew Tay’shawn Whiteman, sister cousins Angela Whiteman & Shana Red Cherries.
Special thanks to Vanessa Graziano & her many friends from Oceanside, CA, & Oceanside Homeless Outreach Program for loving Cynthia & being her family away from home, Stevenson & sons for all the help in getting her home and arrangements. Special thanks to Mike He Crow for keeping her fire going since April 19th, 2021.
Cynthia comes from a big family on both sides of her mother & father which include Long Jaws, Bradys, Manley, Littlewhiteman, Whiteman, Red Cloud, Crazyhorse, Sittingbull. Our family is large we apologize if we may have forgotten anyone. Thanks for the prayers, food and other donations.

Cyndi was my Beautiful QUEEN. I gave her the nickname Sugar Smacks because of her smile I loved Cynthia from November 2nd 2018 until the day she passed I miss everything about her.. I love her laugh and smile her anger.. we shared a love that was a rare and unique and special.. I called her queen because I seen nothing else when I looked at her.. she was a rose in the field of cactuses.. she was my only audience that I need her laughter Soothe My Heart and healed my anger.. her tears filled my heart when she talks about her four children and how much love and misses them.. I love when she talked on the phone with the family the laughter that they shared..Cyndi was my kinda crazy..lol.
