Michael, Rochelle & Laprinciah, My heartfelt condolences 🙏 ❤️
Mr D as I refer you. It was so good to see you as you became a young adult. I remember you in Headstart you were the fashion kid. Always dressed up nice and wear a hat all the time. I remember you saying you were going to be Micheal Jackson and you had the moves to being Micheal Jackson 😂 I loved your glove and moon walk you sure did practice it. It breaks my heart for you and your family. I always thought you would become something better you had the mentality to be what ever you wanted to be.I wish I could of been an ear for you as you struggled dealing with your Brother’s Death. I offered you help but not knowing me like I knew your Brother it was hard to communicate with me. So with that, I hope you found peace in your soul…
Rest in peace my Headstart kid as I always will remember you as so innocent 😇❤️ 🙏

I remember d’Angelo said that his dancing made his grandpa happy. I’m glad I got to meet him and glad i got to see him at the fireworks show. He loved fireworks and he loved walking in the hills, truly the only person to get me to go for a hike. He disappeared one night and came home, i asked him where were you. He told me, i fell asleep in the hills behind west side. West Side hills were his favorite place to go for walks to think.

I met D’Angelo at JobCorps. He shared his writings with me. He was a creative writer. One day, he came to class and was so excited to learn that his brother’s dog had puppies and he got to choose the first one. It made him so happy. He also shared stories about growing up that included his brother and his sister, whom he loved. He was close to his cousin. The day his cousin left was upsetting for him. D’Angelo came to class that morning morning and shared what happened. He said others expected him to react in a negative way. I asked him what he did. He said”I smudged off”. On my last day a group of us smudge together. I gave him the sage I had. D’Angelo thank you for sharing your stories with me and for showing me how to throw an effective punch.
My deepest condolences to his family.

D’Angelo, You were kind and gentle. You were sensitive and compassionate. You were quiet, and there was power and wisdom in your words. I enjoyed your sense of humor. I can still hear your laugh and see your smile. You were a good driver. 🙂 You touched so many hearts at Job Corps. We will keep you alive in our hearts and our minds. You are unforgettable.
