Burial: will follow at the Big Back Family Cemetery in Lame Deer, MT.
On Saturday, April 30th 2011 Maheo called his son Daniel Maynard Limberhand Sr. home.
Honeemeehnste (Wolf Appearing) was born on September 6, 1960 to Cecelia Big Back and Elmore Limberhand Jr.Daniel grew up on the North Side of Lame Deer which he called the Log House with grandparents John & Nina Big Back. He was a direct Descendant of LimberBone's, Suicide Warrior at the Battle of Little Big Horn and Grandson of John Bigback, headsmen of Kit Fox Society. Direct Descendent of Chief George American Horse.He loved his Indian Music, especially his rodeos to watch his son Soot ride saddle bronc. He enjoyed watching sports especially the NBA. His favorite team was the Raiders. He followed OU and Oklahoma City Thunder. Daniel enjoyed sharing and hunting with his grandson Angel. He enjoyed teasing his southern Belles, Kathryn Foote, Peggy, Joyce Jean, Jane, BK and Berta. Daniel enjoyed being outdoors and working alongside his uncle, President Leroy Spang, be it fixing fence or timber thinning.
Daniel attended schools at St. Labre Indian School, Havre and Freman Academy in Freman South Dakota. He played basketball, softball, and cross country. He was an independent Sawyer and Montana Indian Fire fighter. He worked as a carpenter for the Northern Cheyenne Housing Authority and was presently working for Arnie LaFranie at Northern Cheyenne Services for Ashland.
He is survived by his companion of 12 years Alvina Nightwalker; his brothers Douglas (Anna), Faron (Doreen), Elmore (Gladys), Timothy (Charlene); his sisters Doris BadBrave, June (Floyd) , Anne (Ike); his children: Adrian Demontiney (Marcy),Monica (Hryon) George; his stepdaughter Kendra (Alvin), Micheal Brenda Black Crow, Rusty, Danielle and step son Michael Brien(Karla ; his nephews, Terry Jay, Raymond Sean, Elmore IV, PeterBear Comesout Jr., David Bad Brave, Landon Medicine Bull, James, Douglas Jr., Joshua, Isaiah, Blaine, Farron Jr., Bernadine Shoulderblade Jr., Ryan, Kyle, Roger & Richard Cook, Montague & John Big Back; his nieces, Carlotta (Shine), Cinnamon, Nina, Tina (Budda), Althea, Leona & April Bearcomesout, Alusha Cook, Nicole BadBrave, Jennifer, Rachel, Reberta, Rebekah, Charity and Savannah, Flora, Celesta, and Naomi; his adopted mother, Jennie Parker; his adopted brothers, Ross Mutt; adopted sisters, Mitchell and Flora; his nephews Alvin, Steven Jr. and Mitchell Littlebird; his nieces Trish and Crystral; granddaughters, Sharlyce, Maddy & Maci, Kami, Rosslynn Parker; his uncles Maurice Limberhand, Eugene Bigback (Clarice) Steven; his aunties, Erlyce Littlewhirlwind and Nancy and Bertha Big Back; his grandchildren, Alyssa, Victor, Adrian Jr., Layla, Dolan, Leslie, DaeJae, Mario Jr. Spotted Elk, Maurice, Alvin Jr. Madison, Richard, Angel, Slade & Daymien Brien, Alyssia, Malissa, Lativia, Jay Shawn, Bonnie, Jarius, Jerrall, Kayliekie, Braden, Raymond IV, Keana, Maraya, Tawynalee (Loza) Diora Swank, Michael, Jonni Jean & Dwight Harding Jr., DeMarco, Seth, Jordan, Shandon, Beth, Solomon, Jamerin, Jacoran, Sharae, Natalie, Austin, Devin Littlebear, Isif Brady, Mira, David BadBrave Jr., Nakai, Xavier, Cherise, Lyndsey and Daunte; and his special friend Delphina Gua Vera.
