Daniel died Tuesday September 2nd 2003 at the St. Lukes Presbyterian Hospital in Denver, Colorado from side effects due to a 6 year battle with cancer.

Daniel Raymond Gawronski, known to his family and friends as Scoop was born the son of Timothy and Terri (Rue) Gawronski in Casper Wyoming on August 25, 1987. Daniel was raised and educated in Gillette, Wyoming attending elementary and junior high here and would have been a sophomore in high school. At the age of ten, Daniel was diagnosed with cancer, but he never let it get him down. Daniel always attended school and kept good grades through out his treatments. When attending Sage Valley Junior High, he played violin with the orchestra. He was a sweet child that touched the hearts of everyone that knew him, was kind and caring, and will be deeply missed.

Daniel enjoyed golfing, hiking, camping, backpacking, boating and snowboarding. His hobby was working with electronic components and gadgets and he was infatuated with space and space programs. Daniels father and he were best buddies and together a pack was made to never stop fighting. That promise was lifted September 2nd 2003 at 4:50 A.M. A braver soldier never lived. He was our angel on earth and now he is among the angels in heaven embraced in the arms of God.

Peace be with you Daniel.

Daniel will be sorely missed by his parents, one sister, Amber Michelle Gawronski, all of Gillette, his maternal grand parents, Larry and Sandy Rue of Douglas, Wyoming and paternal grandparents Raymond and Mary Gawronski of Savannah, Georgia.

A memorial has been established to benefit the Jasons Friends Foundation, a non profit organization in Casper, Wyoming that helps families whos children have cancer. Memorials may be sent to Jasons Friends Foundation for Daniel Gawronski at 111 S. Durbin suite 300 Casper, WY 82601.
